Flashback Video: Madonna and Britney

“Me Against The Music” rounds out our week of Flashback Video Duets. This video isn’t really that old but both of these artists have been in the news a lot recently. Britney recently started her 2nd consecutive week in rehab and Madonna’s just debuted her new H&M line. This video was like a symbolic passing of the torch from the Queen of Pop to one of it’s rising princesses. Enjoy Love Muffins!

I love the video but I love the MAD TV parody even better. It’s plays on how old Madonna has been getting!

Flashback Video: Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin!

Another duet to start your day off. The Latin Connection was strong when Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera teamed up for the duet “Nobody Wants To Be Lonely” back in 2001. The two sound good together but Christina clearly blows Ricky out of the water on this one. Enjoy Love Muffins!

New Music: Update

Akon’s New Video—Don’t Matter

Akon’s most recent single, Don’t Matter, has a video. This man is very lucky that his songs are catchy because this droning, whiny voice could really drive a b*tch crazy! Unfortunately, this is the kind of song that gets stuck in your head no matter how many times you slam it against the wall. I guess it doesn’t matter to Akon if you like him or not because his album is steadily rising up the charts.

Flashback Video: Whitney and Mariah

Another duet love muffins. This song wasn’t quite the “Battle of the Divas” everyone hoped that it would be but it’s still good to see these two sing a song together. “When You Believe” was a little too mushy for me. Secretly I was hoping Whitney and Mariah would do something like Brandy and Monica but it didn’t happen! I guess you take what you can get!

New Music: Justin Timberlake and Fergie!

Justin Timberlake - Summerlove

“Summerlove” has been confirmed as the next single from Mr. Timberlake. I really love this song and how JT rides the beat with each verse. In the end it doesn’t really matter what he puts out because I’m sure it will go #1 like all the others.

Fergie - All That I Got (The Make Up Song)

I personally couldn’t be happier with Fergie’s next single choice. This has been one of my favorite songs from the album since it came out! I think it shows off her voice more than her previous singles. LOVE IT!

JoJo - Anything

I like the song but I think it has more to do with the awesome sample of Toto’s “Africa” that they used for the beat. All of her past singles have been mid-tempo tracks and this is just another one added to list. I just wish she would have picked a faster song to usher in the spring/summer season.
