Carrie Underwood’s performance last night on SNL was just breathtaking! Her vocals were impeccable, she looked great and I love “Wasted!”

Christina Aguilera Takes Over NYC!

Is it just me or does Christina Aguilera look like she’s about to take a huge dump on stage? (Just a thought!) Last night, the DIRRTY DIVA brought down the house at Madison Square Garden in the NYC. Dressed in all white and her signature red lipstick, for a moment Christina actually looked virginal. (But we all know that’s not the case!) Reports from concert attendees say she pulled out all the stops when performing all of her hits, old and new. The highlight of the night was her stirring rendition of “Beautiful”. Tomorrow she’ll be hitting up Toronto! If you haven’t had a chance to catch it…it’s a really great show!

Music News: Rihanna

Word on the street is that Rihanna’s new album will be hitting stores sooner than previously thought. Her third album will be entitled One and is slated for a June 5th release date. The first single, “Umbrella”, features a cameo from the ex-retired rapper and Svengali Jay-Z and is slated to hit radio next week. We’ll be sure to bring it to you as soon as it leaks. But for now I came across this video of Rihanna singing “Hero” by Mariah Carey, before her record contract. I don’t want to be mean but she butchered this song. Elliott Yamin: Another “Idol” Album

Elliott Yamin’s single “Wait For You” has been on the Top 40 radio playlist for a while now after his stint on the popular show. The AI machine keeps cranking out wannabes and gonnabes, so I actually hope Elliott does well! I LOVE THE SONG, but I’m not sure if he’ll get that far. When I look at him, I feel like a rabbi is singing me a ballad. I’m not sure if that will sell records and keep him on the scene. Unfortunately, we all know how the industry is–biased and superficial. I mean, take a look at Taylor Hicks…Does anyone even remember that he won? I’ll just keep my fingers crossed for him!

I’m tsk-tsk’ing with every word that comes out of his mouth! In a separate video, he went off on Joss Stone! These words came right from his mouth in an interview with Rowdy TV.
