Jam It/Slam It: J. Hud - I’m His Only Woman

+ September 19, 2008

New material from Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming album is steady leaking, and this time it features Fantasia Barrino herself. “I’m His Only Woman” compliments both of the powerhouses that comes from both ladies. Old soul and jazz are a great combination and these ladies do it for me. I would have never thought that these two ladies could have created something so fierce together! The phone conversation at the beginning is hilarious. Would you jam it or slam it?

+ September 16, 2008

Host Damien Fahey and Eva Mendes September 16, 2008Yes love muffins it is true, TRL has been canceled, MTV confirmed on Monday. Carson Daly started the countdown show ten years ago in 1998 and now it has run it’s course and will be no more. Sorry to say, but it seems that MTV has taken off the last little bit of music that they had left on the Music Television channel. The finale will be on a Saturday in November and will be two hours long. So sorry to see it go, but it just proves all things must come to an end. On the bright side, you can still tune in to BET’s 106 and Park. Thoughts?

Take me higher lord! As previously posted, Britney Spears will indeed kick off the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday and here’s what she had to say!

“MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?” Britney said in a statement to MTV. “I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”

Can you believe that, despite her sixteen past nominations, she has never won a VMA? This year Brit-Brit is up for Video of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Female Video for her single “Piece of Me.”

We all remember her disastrous performance of “Gimme More” at last year’s VMAs, and on that note Britney will not open this year’s show with a performance. Read more
