Who is Natty, and why is he so naughty? We have no idea! All we know is Republic Restaurant & Lounge has it on the cocktail menu, and we can tell you that after two rounds of these, we were feeling naughty ourselves!

1 part Grey Goose vodka
Splash of chambord
Splash of pineapple juice
Splash of champagne

2. Watch This! “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”

If you haven’t seen it yet, go this weekend! It’s the fifth installment love muffins! How could you miss out?

3. Wear This! “Headbands”

It’s hot outside girls. Keep your hair (along with bad oils and sweat) off your face. Keep those pores cleaner with a fashionista’s easiest hair accessory—the headband.

4. Hear This! “Magic Carpet Ride”

This is just a fun song to start the weekend! Mighty Dub Katz did this song 10 years ago, and they brought it back a few months ago—fresh and improved for 2007. It just says happy Friday!

5. Do This! “Light It Up”


There is a completely awesome light exhibit at the LACMA. You hear light exhibit, and you automatically think ’specwackular’, but it’s nothing close to what you may be assuming. Dan Flavin has created a combination of light art that will have you running around and ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ like a five year old. Enrich your mind and try something different this weekend. Work Your Weekend!

1. Drink This! “Cranberry Vodka Iced Tea”

Try this iced tea with a kick this weekend. (And don’t fret if it seems like a lot of work. Substitute the tea making process for a pre-made version. The difference will be minimal.)

2 quarts water
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
8 tea bags
2 cups cranberry juice
1 to 2 cups cranberry vodka, to taste

Bring the water to a boil in a large pot, and remove from the heat. Immediately whisk in the sugar and lime juice until sugar is dissolved. Add the tea bags and cranberry juice. Allow the tea to steep for 10 minutes, remove the tea bags and cool the tea. Stir to be sure that the sugar is dissolved, and place in a large pitcher. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

Just before serving, add the vodka to the tea and serve in tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish with lime slices.

* 1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
* 2 oz. Absolute Citron vodka OR white tequila
* 1 oz. Cointreau liquor
* Cup of ice
* Optional: Splash of sparkling water
* Optional: Squeeze of lemon

Oprah swears by this Pomegranate Martini recipe. I gave it a try and it’s orgasmic!

In a high ball glass, combine Amaretto and SoCo over ice. Add sour mix. (If you want even more fun, multiply the recipe by however many friends you have and divy it up into a few shot glasses!)

1. Drink This! “Mai Tai”

This is one of the world’s girliest drinks, but it’s still a good one.

1 oz. light rum
1/2 oz. creme de almond
1/2 oz. triple sec
Sweet and sour mix
Pineapple juice
1/2 oz. dark rum

Pour light rum, creme de almond and triple sec, in that order, into a glass. Add equal parts of sweet and sour mix and pineapple juice, almost to the top. Top with dark rum and serve, unstirred.

2. Watch This! “Knocked Up”

We haven’t had a good comedy in a while, so you should check this one out over the weekend. We even hear Ryan Seacrest has a little part in it. Random but true!


3. Wear This! “The Trapeze”

Get rid of those bubble shaped pieces because the spring is all about the trapeze. Dresses, coats, jackets and tops are going to be everywhere in this shape, so see what works for you. With their roomy design, there’s something for everyone!

4. Hear This! “Daddy Yankee”


He’s one of the sexiest b*tches in Latino music, and he will have you shaking your stuff on the dance floor. You’ve already heard “Impacto” with Fergie (if you haven’t, click HERE), so check out these collaborations as well. His album, El Cartel: The Big Boss, drops next Tuesday, June 5!

5. Do This! “Get Fit!”

Today’s the first day of June, and maybe your summer body isn’t exactly as tight as you want it to be! You still have a few weeks to get it beach ready. Try a little deep stretching (and sweating) at Bikram’s Yoga College or feel the burn at the Absolution Complex. Get into it!

1. Drink This! “Mint Julep”

This is an oldie but goodie, and any drink with a bit of mint is a fresh and clean way to get your drink on during the summer. With Memorial Day upon us (also known as the unofficial start of summer), it seems like the perfect suggestion. Don’t forget to give a toast to those who have fought and who are currently fighting to keep us safe!

4 fresh mint sprigs
2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1 tsp powdered sugar
2 tsp water

Crush mint leaves and mix with powdered sugar and water in a tall glass. Fill with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon. Garnish with a mint sprig.

2. Watch This! “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”

This weekend is the weekend of Pirates. There have been mixed reviews for the movie, but here at Lovebscott.com, we insist on making our own judgments, and so should you. Plus, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are beautiful specimens of men. Ay matey!

3. Wear This! “Boy Shorts”

These dSquared2 “Tab Closure” shorts are a splendiferous wardrobe addition. Boy shorts are an interesting social summer piece, possibly being the new version of the skinny jean. If you’ve been hitting the gym, why not flaunt it?! Get into them.

4. Hear This! “Jacob Luttrell”

You may not know his name, but you should check this out. Jacob Luttrell is on his way to building a musical career with the best foundation there is: talent. His voice is velvety and smooth, and his songs are true to the heart and above all soulful. We got the opportunity to speak with Jacob just for a bit about his recent performance in West Hollywood and just how he came to know Kelly Clarkson. Stay tuned for that! Gas prices are too high to do road trips, so stay in town! A lot of you have been granted a three day weekend by “The Man” in honor of Memorial Day, so you should take advantage of the beautiful weather and your grill! Pull it out of your garage or grab a spot at your neighborhood park. Get together with friends and family and get cookin‘. Just keep in mind that work starts back on Tuesday, so don’t lose control of your crunk!

Work Your Weekend

1. Drink This! “The Manhattan”

Classic. Sophisticated. Stately. The Manhattan will make you look great and feel even better!


2 oz blended whiskey
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 dash bitters
Maraschino cherry [optional]

Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Add a cherry if desired.

2. Watch This! “Pan’s Labyrinth”

We’re going to go out on a limb and suggest that you take advantage of what’s out on DVD. Pan’s Labyrinth has been compared to The Chronicles of Narnia, Spirited Away, Bridge to Terabithia and Labyrinth, but Spanish director Guillermo del Toro takes fantastical fright and fun to another level with this award-winning whirlwind ride. Netflix it today!

3. Wear This! “The Flat”
Girls, you know your feet hurt! Get out of those heels and into some flats for the summer. They’re versatile, and depending on where you work, you can go right from work to play. What’s better than that? If you pick up these (or a variation of sorts), you’ll be well on your way to lazy days and comfortable nights.

You can take an old school date and really spice it up. Thursday through Saturday, Cinespace offers a splendiferous dinner and an entertaining movie for those interested in making reservations. Their food is great, and the atmosphere is sleek. This isn’t a new spot in Hollywood, but it’s one of our favorites, and that’s why we’re suggesting it to you.
