Jake Gyllenhaal Spoofs Dreamgirls!!

Jake Gyllenhaal appealed to his loyal Brokeback fan base last night on SNL. He performed the show-stopping number, “And I Am Telling You”, in full on Dreamgirls drag. Even though he sounded horrible, I love how committed he is. Watch your back Jennifer Hudson!

TRL To Be Cancelled

Total Request Live is about to be Totally Cancelled. Apparently no one is watching the crappy video countdown show and ratings are at an all-time low. (Could it be due to the fact that they hardly ever show any videos?) The New York Daily News is reporting that MTV execs are disappointed with the show’s performance and plan on canceling the show later this year. Looks like Vanessa Minnillo, Damien Fahey, LaLa, and that other chick might soon be unemployed. Sucks for them!

If you are as much of a FANATIC for Project Runway as I am, then you will love to hear that Tim Gunn, the ultimate fashion connoisseur, is getting his own spin-off on Bravo. The show is titled Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style and will profile Gunn as he solves people’s fashion dilemmas by helping them get makeovers. While it’s still unresolved whether Gunn will return to Project Runway for its fourth season, his own show and book will debut in May 2007. “Carry On”

Stomp Banned!

The CEO of a Springfield, Il. theater, Tony Kerasotes, has banned Stomp the Yard from projection stating that a film featuring Black fraternities might cause gang violence after the movie. Apparently it happened once before with a showing of Black Christmas. How can he connect Stomp the Yard to Black Christmas and assume there will be gang violence? I’ll never know! As far as I’m concerned Black college frats are no where near the same level as gangs! Kerasotes will be playing the movie in 40 of his other locations—just not Springfield. Makes no damn sense to me!

Is Paula Cracked Out?

WTF! We don’t know what Paula Abdul is on but in this clip she is a STEAMY HOT MESS! Could it be pain killers, booze, cocaine, smack, weed, or all of the above? Paula can’t even get a complete sentence out! It’s not possible to be that HAPPY that early. This season of AI should be great tv, with this new DRUGGED Paula factor. This is down right CRAZINESS!
