Tree Hugging With The Starlets

Allison Sweeney (“Days of Our Lives”), Lance Bass and other lesser known stars get their tree hugging on with TreePeople and E!. TreePeople.org teamed up with E! Television to plant one tree for each of the 800 guests attending the Golden Globes this year. This is a great event but apparently only great for the stars we aren’t really watching–the ones I like to call starlets. But kudos to these wonderful people giving their precious time to provide us with more oxygen and homes for squirrels. It comes as no surprise that these starlets are stuck with planting trees for their cause. The list of celebrities and their causes is getting longer everyday. Pretty soon there will be nothing left for us regular people, and that’s a good thing because I don’t want to dig holes in the dirt all afternoon anyway.

WTF Happened To: Samantha Mumba!

Other than when I see her at Ruth’s Skin Care the place where we both get facials, I never see Samantha Mumba anywhere! But my sexy splendiferous love muffin resurfaced today at the St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

According to Samantha’s Myspace page:

Mumba has stated in many Irish newspapers and magazines that she is working on her third studio album and hopes to have it finished by Christmas. She says the first single will be released in February 2007 and the album will follow in March. She is recording most of the album in Los Angeles, California, United States. Samantha was to begin her comeback with a concert in Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 2, but this was canceled on 27 February after only 30 tickets had been sold. She is also doing a nightclub show at Limerick’s Trinity Rooms on Sunday March 18th to showcase her new grittier club sound. Samantha has confirmed the first single and album will be released in the US, Europe and Australia. The album is rumored to be released first in the US. Both the album and single will be released in March. 3 new tracks from Samantha have leaked on her Myspace page in early February entitled Angel, Rear View, and Personalities. Personalities has been confirmed as her comeback single and has been released to Irish and American radio.

Cynthia Nixon: Unsexy In The City!

Unfortunately, the sheer terror inflicted by this still shot of Cynthia Nixon rendered me completely and utterly speechless for at least 2 1/2 minutes! WASN’T SHE ONCE SEXY IN THE CITY? Well, if truth be told, she was definitely the least sexy one, but that happens in every group of female friends. Anyways, she showed up looking frumpy and greasy at the New York Broadway opening of Prelude to a Kiss. Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and the show’s creator Candace Bushnell are tsk-tsking over this blatant racism! (And yes, here at lovebscott.com, racism is the proper word for this instance. The last time I saw her was in The Family Stone. Well besides her three starring roles in upcoming films for 2007 (Evening, Stardust and The Flock), she’s been brushing up on her half-naked dancing skills, and lucky TV viewers across the nation can now see the fruits of her looms…er, I mean labor. No, it’s not Pants-Off Dance-Off! Watch her give us an interpretation of how she can wear mens’ pants just as well as her partner, Patrick Wilson. Since when does she dance anyways?

WTF Happened To…”Malcom”?

Frankie Muniz, from “Malcom in the Middle” fame, apparantly like his hair in the middle too. Muniz showed off his new mohawk yesterday at a photography exhibit at Quixote Studios in L.A. Now 21 years old and engaged to be married, it seems that Malcolm is finally all grown up!

WTF Happened To…Geri Halliwell?

Is this really the same person? Geri has lost ALL sex appeal post-Spice Girls. They were all gorgeous girls, and now…well…Geri, not so much! That hair could use an Alberto VO5 Hot Oil Treatment and that pale ass skin could use some vitamin D via the SUN! Apparently, there was talk that she would write a tell-all book about her time in America along with her musical success, but I hope she realizes that no one cares enough to cop that one! Just imagine this though…a Spice Girls reunion and comeback! The hotness, right? Maybe not.

I was listening to the radio the other day (if you know anything about me at all, you know that is indeed a rarity) and Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” came blaring through the speakers. Suddenly, I was reminded of a sweeter time in music. I can’t believe it’s been 9 years since “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” took the world by storm. Anyway now I’m left thinking…”WTF Happened To Lauryn Hill?”

WTF Happened To…Ja Rule!

So is it me or does Ja Rule have erect ringlets in his hair? This au natural mini-fro he’s rocking is a bit too similar to that jheri curl from back in the day!

Clearly his music career is not going anywhere. Maybe he can look into sponsorship and sign a contract with Lustrasilk, Dudley, Duke–the sky is the limit! Get Ass-hanti on the hook, and we’ve got solid gooooooooold in the makings.
