The Meaning Behind Zuma!

I know you wondered why Gwen Stefani named her son Zuma - me too, and we finally got the answer! Gwen Stefani recently gave birth to a baby boy and decided to name her son Zuma Nesta Rock. I already know what most of you are thinking, “What the hell?” But they have a reason behind such an unusual name.

“He was standing on Zuma Beach in the early morning after working all night as a production assistant on a music video and was quoted as saying he realized he was wasting his time,” Satran says. “He drove up the coast, slept in his car, and started making the moves that would launch his career…This name obviously links to big brother Kingston’s and is another nod to Jamaica and reggae…[The name Rock] needs no explanation.” US magazine

Well there you have it love muffins. Naming a child after a fruit is one thing, but naming it after a beach is another - shoot a tree, a car, or even a body part. Thoughts?

Gwen Stefani Welcomes Baby Boy!

Gwen Stefani and her husband Gavin Rossdale welcomed yet another child in the world today in Los Angeles and have decided to call him Zuma Nesta. I don’t know where the name Zuma came from, but a big congratulations to the couple. She reportedly had a C-section. “Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy,” according to the rep. Ricky Martin also welcomed twin boys several weeks ago by a surrogate mother.

“In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care,” the statement said. “Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.” News.
