BET Awards ‘08 Performances!

Usher opened the BET Awards ‘08 off with a couple seconds of his latest single “Moving Mountains” then went right into his hit single “Love In This Club”. Honestly, the energy on the stage could have been better. I was really hoping for a Beyonce cameo for his “Love In The Club” remix, but I was disappointment. Chris Brown was super duper adorable as he sung to Rihanna’s hit “Take A Bow”. Ne-Yo performed “Closer” from his upcoming album Year Of The Gentleman. New Video: Nelly - Stepped On My J’s

Nelly premiered his new video “Stepped On My J’s” last night and it features Ciara and Jermaine Dupri. The video was a tad bit boring until right before JD’s verse. The skit was super duper funny. Ciara also makes this video worth viewing. Would you rock the ankle wallet that Ciara wore? Ladies, what if you had to do a karate kick on someone and your ankle wallet flies off? I guess it wouldn’t be any different then carrying an actual purse - well you wouldn’t have to hold it when mollywhopping somebody down in the club.

New Music: Ciara & Robin Thicke

A month ago, a snippet of Ciara’s “Supernatural” surfaced, but now we have the full version. I really love this song. I think it is a great choice for a first single from her upcoming album Fantasy Ride. What do you think?

New Music: Keri Hilson, Jessica Simpson, Ciara

Update: I love Keri’s new song now - it grew on me!

Keri Hilson has finally set a release date for her debut album In A Perfect World which will be released on the 23rd of September. If you don’t know, she was on two hit singles with Timberland “The Way I Are” and “Scream”. Now it is time for the world to know who she is, to know her music. However, I am just not sure if “Energy” is the best choice as a first single. Love muffins what are your thoughts about Keri’s new single, is it a keeper or not?

On The Set Of Nelly’s New Video

Ciara’s Idea Of A ‘Fantasy Ride’

Love muffins, I cannot wait until the release date of Ciara’s upcoming third album Fantasy Ride which is slated for release in September. Ciara is doing something a different with her new album, something that hasn’t been done before. Instead of putting her songs on one standard CD, she will split up her songs into three different themes on three separate CD’s bundled into one.

The first disc is called “Groove City” and will contain sensual songs like “Promise,” while the second disc is called “Crunktown” and includes tracks akin to Ciara’s 2004 introductory single, “Goodies.” Finally, the up-tempo “Kingdom of Dance” will showcase Ciara’s house-leaning, freestyle-tinged cuts.

I think it is a super duper hot idea, but then again tons of money will be wasted during the process of completing the packaging. Thoughts?

A new track, “Stepped On My J’s”, was leaked recently off of Nelly’s upcoming fifth studio album Brass Knuckles - release date is June 24th. Nelly’s first official single “Party People” featuring Fergie is one of my jams! When the song comes on, I drop it likes it hot along as I do the paw paw. However, I am not so sure about this track. I love Ciara’s part though. Get it CiCi! Thoughts?

New Music: Ciara - High Price

A snippet of Ciara’s first single “High Price” has just surfaced featuring Ludacris from her highly anticipated third studio album entitled Fantasy Ride. The track is extremely different - it’s like a mixture of hip hop and opera. I like it! Again, this is just a snippet, but I am looking forward to hearing the rest of her project from her upcoming album. Thoughts?
