Jam It or Slam It: J. Hud - Pocketbook

September 13, 2008

Another tracked has surfaced from Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled debut album. “Pocketbook” features none other then Ludacris, but even Ludacris couldn’t get me to like this song. It is something different for Jennifer but I am not feeling it. It may have to grow on me. Hopefully, this is not her second single. Would you jam it or slam it?

ummm…I have to agree with you on this one B..no ma’am! I’m not gonna lie, Jennifer can sang all day, but this whole pocketbook thing..negative. It’s different though, I have to say that, but maybe I’ll have to hear it a few thousand times to get into it.

It was okay. J can come way harder than this, but it wasn’t horrible, B. No, it’s not her soulfullness that we fell in love with in Dreamgirls (damn, she was killing it) but it was cute. Something for the radio. Luda made it better, with his lil’ freaky self, lol.

I mean she tried. Personally I just think the song is wack.

  27. bb on September 15, 2008 at 8:53 pm #

  28. K shaun on September 16, 2008 at 12:55 am #

  29. alauryn04 on September 16, 2008 at 8:33 am #

i actually liked it…. it’s a different song for her voice but it wasn’t bad ;)
i can see a good 30s, 40-ish themed video for it… but it wasn’t bad. her voice is just usually made for a different type of song.
i’m sorry, i GOTTA agree with someones comment i saw earlier….. B, you pushin SOLANGE’S sh*t and don’t like this one??????

  30. MyOpinion on September 16, 2008 at 10:57 am #

  31. Spicy Goodness on September 16, 2008 at 10:12 pm #

I like it, when does her album come out?

  32. Acoustic Soul on September 17, 2008 at 6:38 am #

This is a hit B. Catch it because it’s catchy. Don’t make me hit you with my pocketbook. After I heard it, I had to catch myself from saying that to a few co-workers of mine.
