Christina Aguilera worked in out in her tight leather ensemble when she performed her first single “Keeps Gettin’ Better” live from her upcoming Keeps Gettin’ Better - A Decade of Hits album at the VMA’s. I loved the little remix of genie in a bottle, I hope it’ll be on the album… but, yeah, she was more than obviously lip syncing.

At first, I thought it was Britney’s song ‘Radar’, the intros for both songs are really close.

pink was the performance of the night, but christina really shocked me, i didnt know she could do all that choreophraphy? if you look shes doing little moves here and there you can hardly see it. people talk about her lip singing but EVERYONE knows christina sings, but shes out to show she can do some serious routines as well. i respect that! go girl i miss seeing performances because Rhiannas was DRY as hell. she never puts in work like pink and CHRISTINA

it was a great!! stop hating!! she lip synced, but we all know she can sing, so who cares. she usually never dances, but she did tonight and i don’t think she lipped the last part.

I don’t really care that she didn’t sing live.
We’ve all heard her sing live befo’ so we know she can blow. How many times must she prove herself?

Awesome performance by both ladies.
(P.S. Rihanna sounded horrible. Proves my point that lady can not sing. Now she needed to lip-sync!)

Hi Haters!!!! I like the song and everything but that performance seemed alittle off to me. I guess it was the fact she was dancing. She doesn’t need to dance. Her voice alone is amazing

Lip sing? Yes (About as live as any current Mariah Performance)
Killed it? HEll YES!!!!!!!!!

As just about all of you have already pointed out…WE ALL KNOW she got the vocals on lock… so thats not even worth mention..and if we were to turn the mic on we all know she would have blown the industry out the water like always.

Christina has done something so diverse, completely unexpected from her..I mean I was so shocked to see her putting so much into the performance theatrical side, and that Genie in a bottle remix was FIRE!!! This chick keeps switchin up her style and haters dont know what to do with themselves..and this was only the first single for a greatest hits album…I can only imagine what the new album will be like..but Ima be first in line!

I love all of you. xD Not only is the hair Lady GaGa but the excessive make up too. And OMFG. I thought it was Brit too with ‘Radar’. Xtina is lame and needs to stay home where she’s any good now. Pink was great. Personally, I liked RiHanna’s preformance. Granted she sound horrible, but she did a good show.

Christina looked like a fat cow in the tight outfit and lip syncing is not acceptable from someone who supposedly has the voice. She even said in a 2003 Blender interview that she would never lip sync. HYPOCRITE!

I’m laughing at all these people blasting Christina for lipsyncing…like we don’t ALREADY KNOW that Christina has better vocals than 95% of the chicks in the game today. Let the chick lipsync! It was obvious she was going more for a theatrical dance performance this time around.

I thought she KILLED IT. It was SUCH a different performance for her, and I had no idea she could rock choreography like that! I also need that Genie in a Bottle remix. It was hot…

The one bad thing I will say is that the look WAS a little reminiscent of Britney. As aaron said earlier, that cat suit is almost an EXACT replica of the cat suit Britney wore when she performed Toxic during her Onyx Hotel Tour…right down to the sheer fabric cape…though Britney’s was purple.

Lol I saw the performance and was like “wait she’s lip singing?” I was thrown off because I never seen her lip sing before. It was a little disappointing to me because again I wasn’t use to it, and I appreciate Christina as a singer so I would like to see her sing. But like it was mentioned earlier, I know she can blow, and that performance was dope. Loved the concept and the routine.

In terms of the VMAs themselves I definitely loved how all of the performances were more theatrical because they were on the movie lot, definitely saved the show since everything else was horrible. The host, whoever he is was sooooooo boring, painfully so. And everything else seemed so disorganized, people didn’t know where to stand, or where to go to get their reward or after receiving the award. it was a mess.

Damn! I absolutely LOVED the remix, the new song, and I thought she had by far the best performance of the night. Give the girl some credit. She just had a baby. Chances are she ran herself into the ground trying to balance the rehersals, recording, staying up all night with her baby and still having sex with her new husband. Any woman who has had a baby, been married, and tried to keep a job can tell you that isn’t easy. I would lipsinc too. Who cares though, SHE ROCKS! You go Christina!!

CHRISTINA* did a great job! i’m just happy she didnt pull a britney. (that gimme more performance was not hot at all) i LOVED how she started it off with the genie in a bottle! THAT WAS FUCKING HOT!! i want that version on my ipod!

P!NK** was absolutely wicked awesome!!! her performance was the best the entire night! it was flawless! she looks and sounds even better! i love her bittersweet happy-go-lucky rockstar attitude. she’s just great! love her!!!

Christina performance rocked. Even if she lip singed it just shows she can put on a great show. She has talent because she not only sings but comes up with everything. She has so many ideas. I admit that she kinda does look like Britney and Lady Gaga but that was Christina for the moment. I’m sure that she’ll change her style again to something completely different. She looked good for someone who had a baby. Much better than Britney

Man you guys are so harsh. You try runnin around and dancin to an upbeat song while singing and soundin good, sometimes you just gotta lip sinc. Youd rather have it sound good than airy and outta breath. so all you haters just need to hush, that was an awesom comeback and she totally pulled it off so hows bout u say somthin nice. U no ull be buyin it wen it comes out anyway so stop frontin.
P.S. all singers have lip synced before… get over it!!!
