New Movie Review: Babylon A.D.
September 3, 2008
Over the weekend, I saw Vin Diesel’s new movie Babylon A.D., and honestly I could have saved my money. The movie took forever to reveal who the girl that Vin’s character had to save really was and what powers she held while the rest of the world was at war with one another. I should have went with my gut feeling to watch Traitor instead, because it went downhill when the director of the movie even trashed the film. The movie is not that bad, but after seeing some of the best parts in the movie trailer, you would think that the movie would have been fulfilling. People can’t even die properly - why must actors/actresses over act? I wouldn’t even rent this movie, just wait until it comes on television. I did enjoy seeing Vin though, with his smooth white chocolate bald head as it sent tingles up and down my spine! Take me higher lord!

I just heard that the UK got a 160 min. verison of the movie while in the US we only got a 90 min. version. I think the major cuts is what is leading to the bad reviews of the movie.

B did you see the new Ice Cube movie, I believe its titled the Long Shot or something. It’s a true story about a young girl who starts playing football. I wanted to go check it out but wanted to know if its as good as it looks.

I actually loved the movie. The only part I was confused and didnt like was the ending. I do believe that the 160 min version probably would have helped me understand it alot more.

lol, I was going to see it this pass weekend but I opt in for “Traitor” & “Death Race”, and I was told it was a good thing I didn’t see Babylon A.D…
But I think sometimes when a movie, song, CD (whatever) is bad we support it due to the person in it (or singing it)…
Life…
Better luck next time Mr Vin Diesel. Well the next run of “Fast and Furious” is coming out so I guess he just wanted us to remember him…

I think the movie was good, it wasnt “horrible” like oh my gosh this is so boring get me out of the theater. It had alot of action which I enjoyed, even thO Vin didnt die HELLO its a movie and its futuristic. I believe that the city was very tacky lOokin and i hope year 2017 wont look like a hot big tacky mess. And the ending did confuse the hell outta me, like how didnt she die when the bullet exploded, and she died when she had the twinz? But I rate the movie a C+
