Nelly Stands His Ground!

+ August 26, 2008

Nelly put his foot down when he had to defend his video for “Tip Drill” towards a female radio host. I can see why many think this video is offensive, but you can’t always blame the rappers. The women in the videos are the ones shaking it and grinding on the poles with booty cheeks flapping. He did make some valid points about the media always focusing on the negative and never the positive things that he is apart of. For those of you who have never seen the “Tip Drill” video, view it after the jump (warning this video is uncut). I truly hope the ladies were extra fresh, because I saw a nose all in someones crack, I’m just saying. Read more

New Music: Brandy, Keri Hilson, T.I./Rihanna

+ August 26, 2008

Brandy is doing it for me - take me higher lord! I cannot wait for her album Human to drop. I am tired of the leaked tracks, Brandy release your album already! It has been a long time coming. “Porcelain Doll” is an amazing track. I already have a video concept in mind. I am going to take a guess that the production is Timberland or at least his protégé. But I could be wrong. Thoughts? Take a listen to Keri Hilson, T.I., and Rihanna after the jump -

Solange Performs “Sandcastle Disco” (Live)

+ August 26, 2008

Solange performed on MTV’s TRL today since her sophomore album dropped Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams today. I am totally in-love with this album. It is so out of the box in a good way. Old soul mixed with electronica, amazing! She also performed her new single “Sandcastle Disco” on the Late Show with David Letterman Monday night. Can Jesse McCartney “Buy You A Drank”?

+ August 26, 2008

During The ‘Pepsi Smash Exclusive’ Cover Art, Jesse McCartney decided to switch from his pop sound and redo T-Pain’s R&B hit single “Buy You A Drank”. I don’t know, I think I prefer the original version over Jesse’s version. Thoughts?

Rumor has it that Rihanna was currently on the set of Chris Brown’s new music video as his leading lady. No word has surfaced yet on the title of the song, so maybe it is the duet single that they have been in the recording studio working on. My fingers are crossed! Thoughts? New Video: T-Pain - I Can’t Believe It

+ August 26, 2008

T-Pain recently premiered his new music video “I Can’t Believe It” featuring Lil Wayne. Love muffins, Lil Wayne is everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lil Wayne jumped on a country song to make it a hit single. However, do you think this song has what it takes to be a major hit? Visually, the video is great!
