I think she did good, could have done better but I’m glad it was her and not Beyonce! I am tired of people thinking Bey is the only one with a voice!

i thought it was going to BLOW me away like Whitney’s, but nah. The reason why Bey’s was better because she had control(like whitney) and Jenn was all over the place vocally.

Love muffin this brought me to tears….. Because the symbol of what America is saying to the rest of the World is “Yes I (a black person) Can” (This is so Powerful & moving)…..

Yes Jennifer H, you did it woman……….

Im so glad you posted this because I was upset that I missed it last night. She did a wonderful job. And can we stop making comparisons…. there are a million talented people across this country would could have been chosen to sing………..

the fact is… she really didn’t know how to control her voice…. but hey she did as well as any one would expect from our time. whitney houston did the best out of anyone who ever sang our song in my opinion. now had this been the “Black” national anthem… jennifer would have killed it! but it wasn’t.

i think Marvin Gaye sang it the best but thats just my opinion. His version had O so much soul. i am so damn proud to be black :)

he asked how she did, not beyonce. She doesn’t have to be brought up with every female artist. I think she did a pretty good job. It was beautiful

Jennifer did an amazing job, especially in front of all those people.

It kills me to hear people criticize one’s talent like they have the balls to do what they do and better.

Let’s see you get up there and do it, then you can talk about it.

She was nice but I agree she did not have control over the crucial parts in the song.
