Disney Is Calling All Stars!
July 23, 2008
Beyonce has been chosen to sing “Part Of Your World” from Disney’s classic movie The Little Mermaid for their compilation CD which will be released this September. Also singing other Disney hits will include Rihanna and Chris Brown (Aladdin) “A Whole New World”, Pussycat Dolls (Hercules) “I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)”, and Alicia Keys (Mulan) “Reflection” plus many more! I remember Christina Aguilera singing “Reflection” which led to a contract with RCA Records. Thoughts?

omg i love christina’s version of reflections. i hope that alicia can bring something new to it. i wonder if they will redo aaliyah’s journey to the past and who they would pick to sing it . man i cry everytime i hear that song .

I hope Chris and Rihanna don’t ruin A Whole New World. I love them both to death, but they’re not the strongest singers. They matched Beyonce well with that song. Alicia Keys’ version will definitely be totally different from Christina’s. All should be interesting.

The original singers are soo much better than the new ones, but maybe the newbies will prove me wrong.
Christina sang some crazy note in reflections, I think it was an E flat in full chest voice. I very much doubt Alicia can do the same but maybe she’ll change the song and make it her own instead.

Christina didnt have Reflection as her first single. she just did it for the Movie’s soundtrack.
Genie in a bottle was the 1st in her debut album.
It just happens that Christina ppl wanted to add Reflection from Mulan’s soundtrack into the album as well
its odd Alicia is doing that song though…cause it’ll be tough to out-do Christina
we’ll see what happens

I swear to Walt Disney AND mickey if they ruin that song…I just had a mini panic attack and almost lost my lunch. a whole new world, really? They’re the new nick and jessica? How the heck is fembot gonna be able to say indescribable feelings when she can’t even say umbrella right?…I’m too through with these two, why would they do this? They want the world and disney too?
I am looking foreward to Alicia’s reflection and Beyonce’s part of your world though, as a disney kid at heart
but still..that makes up for absolutely nothing. who let this happen?
……-no comment on pcd and i won’t say Im in love, i love that song too much to even listen to that remake..-

Why are they messing with a good thing? I saw the original, Peabo (did I spell that right?),sing A Whole New Word live last year…man! Today’s singers do NOT compare.

I am a huge christina fan and I don’t think that Alicia could pull it off.. But maybe it will be good… And I hate that chris brown and rihianna are doing that song…I agree with whoever said that rihianna can’t say umbrella!

I don’t think we should subject the children of America with the likes of Bey, Rhianna, or Chris Brown singing Disney tunes. Now, I like all of them, but I just don’t think they will do a good job of singing those classic songs. Chrisina….well….maybe….
