Mags: Jessica Alba, Rihanna, Jessica Biel
July 10, 2008
For the month of August, three young talented splendiferous ladies cover several super duper hot magazines. Jessica Alba glows on the cover of the U.K. edition of Cosmopolitan, while Rihanna rocks on InStyle, and Jessica Biel shows her “SexyBack” smile on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Below is a preview of each magazine from Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar.
Jessica Alba on baby weight, Cosmopolitan:
“I never felt less sexy. I mean, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world … but I wanted to get rid of all the weight.”
Since I was unable to locate a preview for Rihanna’s article with InStyle, I came across a comment Rihanna made regarding posing for Playboy:
“I am only 20 so my mother would kill me if I posed nude…When I did that metallic body paint stuff for my video, I didn’t do it to show my body. I didn’t do it for people to like me. I did it because it was a cool visual, unexpected, and it looked hot…I have done a lot of photo shoots for magazines but it’s always great to be shot for a cover because you know that you are looked at as a fashion icon.” The Sun
Jessica Biel on marriage, Harper’s Bazaar:
“The actual idea of signing those papers and doing all this stuff … I’ve never been someone who’s like, ‘I have to, have to, have to have it’”.

rihanna had to paint her body so ppl could like her? well i guess it worked huh…..
Rihanna is no where near a fashion icon, first of all fashion icons actually develop a style on their own, take risks, and they are completely innovative and creative. Rihanna has a stylists and she wouldn’t even be considered stylish until she stole Beyonce’s style and tried to be a clone on her
Beyonce’s style didn’t work for Rihanna so she went her own way and did it better. Besides all artists, even the great Beyonce, has a stylist. As you stated a fashion icon develops a style on their own, take risks, and they are completely innovative and creative all of which… that’s Rihanna to a tee right now… she’s not rocking what everyone else is rocking… she’s doing her own thing and is looking good doing so… but who cares one way or the other… keep doing your thing RiRi and keeping rocking those covers…
And no… before you asks… I don’t think of Rihanna as a fashion icon… a maven maybe but no icon… she’s stepping out the box and doing something different which is cool…
Rihanna said she DIDN’T do it so people would like her…LEARN HOW TO READ FOLKS!
And she didn’t call herself a fashion icon. She said she likes being on the cover of mags because it means people THINK OF YOU as one. And it’s the truth that people call her one (I don’t think she’s anywhere near that level yet, but everyone’s entitled to their opinions).
However, her hair looks a mess on that cover. The sides and back are never done quite right. I’ma need her to get a hair stylist as good as her clothing stylist
