Mariah, why do you do this to your fans? You make it so hard for us to herald your amazing musical gifts by doing videos as ridiculous as this one. I am so disappointed! The video had absolutely no substance, value or meaning. I do not see this song doing well and will bomb just like Bye Bye. There is a reason Leona Lewis has the biggest song of the year with Bleeding Love because it showcased her voice. I don’t see how any fan can defend her for this. Absolute video-hoeish trash. Mariah is a star because of her VOICE the body, boobs, and hair are extras but not her bread and butter but sadly thats all she seems to sell these days. She’s accomplished so much and Id rather she didnt come out with anything rather than do stuff like this.

I love the video! Some of y’all are complaining that it lacks substance but have you not listened to the song? It’s not a ballad about world peace; it’s a song about having fun and being flirtatious. The song embodies what summer is all about - sun, sand, the water and just enjoying life to the maximum. Did you guys expect her to be wearing a ballroom gown in the water with the dolphins? If you want to see that then go and watch Keyshia Cole’s latest flick, otherwise just let the woman be free!

I absolutely hate the video. Granted she does look AMAZING in the video and I LOVE the song, but the video is awful. It’s mainly filled with her trying too hard to look sexy and it makes me uncomfortable because it doesn’t work for her. I was hoping it would be a better video, but it isn’t. Maybe if she didn’t try so hard it would work..you shouldn’t have to try to be sexy. I just hope this doesn’t effect the single from getting airplay and hopefully going number 1, because like I said it is a great song for the summer.

nothing wrong with this video…she is in the sun having fun..she doesn’t need to try too hard to be sexy because she already is. ya’ll hatin because its so perfect that it had no flaws..ya’ll had to think up some negativity.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??!! This is a carefree song about love. It isn’t trying to teach us a lesson or talk about deep political issues. So what if she is splashing around in the water in a bikini and playing with dolphins? What do you expect? THIS IS A FUN SONG and I happen to really love this song. And I am loving the black swimsuit! You go girl!

As far as showcasing her voice, hasn’t she done that already? SHE HAS BEEN SHOWCASING HER VOICE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS! She has sold millions and millions of albums and has broken all kinds of records…she doesn’t have a damn thing to prove to anyone at this point. To Mariah: great video chica, and I absolutely love this song!

with all the less than stellar live performances she has been giving for the past few years you would think she would spin more time with a vocal coach versus a plastic surgeon, typical mariah video. and you wonder why the new cd is not doing well

Personally, I think the song is ok. It’s not going to be a smash hit by any means, but it’s NOT a bad song.

Mostly, I think Mariah’s problem these days, image-wise (and a little bit in her sound, too), is she’s suffering from a bit of Madonna-syndrome…i.e. absolutely refusing to acknowledge that she’s gotten older.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Mariah Carey is one of the most gorgeous women in the business, and it’s not that older women shouldn’t be sexy…Mariah could be very sexy. But what I see in this video is not a sexy woman of 38. What I see in this video is a an older woman desperately trying to be younger than she really is. And THAT’S not sexy.

It’s why I love Janet Ms. Jackson If You Nasty so much. Janet is now in her 40’s…but she *embraces* it. You don’t see her in booty shorts and spandex mini-dresses with tube socks and trying to rock school-girl outfits like she’s still a twenty-something (sorry Mariah). Janet matured her look without losing the sexy. Her look says “I’m Janet. I’m 42. And I’m STILL sexy as hell.” And she is.

Takes notes, Mariah, because running from your age is going to look more and more ridiculous as time goes by. And you don’t want to look as foolish as Madonna does these days, do you?
