BET Awards ‘08 Performances!

June 25, 2008

Usher opened the BET Awards ‘08 off with a couple seconds of his latest single “Moving Mountains” then went right into his hit single “Love In This Club”. Honestly, the energy on the stage could have been better. I was really hoping for a Beyonce cameo for his “Love In The Club” remix, but I was disappointment. Chris Brown was super duper adorable as he sung to Rihanna’s hit “Take A Bow”. Ne-Yo performed “Closer” from his upcoming album Year Of The Gentleman. He was flying all over the place - the only thing missing was a cape. Alicia Keys bought girl power back love muffins! View more performances by Chris Brown, Ciara, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Keyshia Cole, and Alicia Keys after the jump -

Chris Brown and Ciara - With You, Take You Down

Rihanna - Take A Bow

Alicia Keys - Teenage Love Affair, Weak, Waterfalls, Hold On

Keyshia Cole - Heaven Sent, Let It Go

Ne-Yo- Closer

Lil’ Wayne - Got Money, Lollipop, A Milli

Usher’s performance wasn’t good. Ciara and Chris did their thing. Alicia Keys brought back the 90s girl groups! Yay! Even though Keyshia forgot the lyrics she hyped the crowd. rihanna didn’t do bad either.

Usher’s dancing was on point, but it was obvious he was lip singing which he has been doing alot of lately. Alicia + the girl groups was my favorite of the night and I enjoyed the energy that Ne-Yo had. Rhianna’s performance was kinda forgettable and Lil Wayne was amazing. He seemed to be on another level.

Also, I think Missy bailed on the Keisha Coles performance. Seemed like they tried to fill in for her. I think that could have been why she messed up at the beginning of Let it Go (Missy’s Part) but it was entertaining overall.

I am highly dissappointed at usher’s performance. I’m a huge usher fan and he could have done way much better! The best part of it was his dancing. I hated the fact that he was lip synching, and that wasn’t even on point. Come on usher, u could have done way much better than that. I guess that married life is starting to mess him up.

People, PEOPLE!!! Let’s not forget Maxwell’s seductive tribute to Al Green and of course, the man himself, Al Green, tore it down!

Usher was a disappointment! Ne-Yo & Chris Brown out performed him. Alicia & the 90’s girl groups, fiyah!!! I also loved the Al Green tribute with the new grown & sexy Anthony Hamilton, Jill Scott & Maxwell’s fine behind. Most of the rest was just. . .blah to me.

Ursher and Neyo had basically the same performance. Keisha Cole was a mess. Alecia’s performance and Al Green’s were the best.

Alicia Keys ass is huge now. Only thing missing out of that 90’s girl group moment was Xscape.

Usher and Keyshia Cole were the worst. Ne-yo was amazing. Loved Weezy. Al Green was the best!! Maxwell needs to come out with an album fast..ooh he looked sexy! Was it just me or did the sound seem crappy during the performances or maybe I have a bootleg TV.

This was a good show!!! I LOVED Ne-yo. Chris was hot…. Usher has fallen OFF!!! He looked old and weak and sad and, just damn, what happened? Anywho!!! Seeing all the girl groups was great, really took me back. Maxwell was on fire. Al Green tured it out!

I saw you B! It was for hot second, but I saw you. You are very tall, you were taller than some of those people sitting next to you. Looking fabulous none the less ;)
