Ashanti - The Declaration!
June 1, 2008
Love muffins the beautiful Ashanti will be releasing, what I believe is her 5th studio album (including her christmas album) this Tuesday, but I have managed to get my hands hands on a copy just days before the official release! Guest stars include Robin Thicke, Akon, and Nelly, just to name a few. I am really feeling this album, she sure did put her best foot forward! Do you think Ashanti has what it takes to have a long and fulfilling music career or are her efforts just short of stellar? Let me know, is The Declaration her best work thus far or her farewell?

I don’t know about the whole album, but I love The Way that I love you, and this is coming from someone who normally doesn’t care for Ashanti’s music.

This album is the business. I think she will have a good career and this album will definitely not be her farewell.

I like Body on Me ft. Akon and Nelly, and the song to her mother is beautiful! And of course The Way I Love You is the business! Ashanti surprised me. I have never really been a fan of hers but this album isn’t bad, I don’t know if its the greatest body of work ever, but it sure isn’t the worst!

the album is less than stellar a vary mediocare effort , for it to be her fourth theres no growth vocally or musically and people try and slam mariah, she has had a consistantly excellent sounding album every time she comes out hell even beyonce has had good albums this monsterousity is redicules and ashanti needs to give it a rest already!!! screaming in tune is not singing!!! some of the songs sound like she yelling at the music rather than glideing effortlessly over the tracks that she was goven!!!

You’re actually the first one who said something good about it so far. I appreciate Ashanti and her efforts and LORD KNOWS “The Way That I Love You” is my jam, but I don’t see any musical longevity in her future. SORRY, SHANTI! I will, however, give her a chance and check the album out for myself.
