Say What? Sharon Stone

May 28, 2008

Sharon Stone is under fire for recently saying that the devastating Chinese earthquakes could have been the result of bad “karma.” Sharon, what kind of monkey doodle foolishness is this? ‘Bad karma’ - lawd have mercy kelly clarkson eddie murphy! Jesus, please take this wheel! In an interview with Hong Kong’s Cable Entertainment News, the actress tied the natural disaster which has claimed at least 65,000 lives to Beijing’s policy on Tibet. “I’m not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else, and then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, ‘Is that karma? When you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?’” Thoughts?!

Not that I am a huge fan of hers or anything, but…that is not the entire quote. Taken in that context, yes it does sound ignorant and harsh. She went on to say, (paraphrased)that she wondered if it was karma, but upon thinking about it in a different light, that she learned that you have to be nice to those who are not nice to you. Her way of saying turn the other cheek.

    What? Karma happens! It happens!!

But look on the bright side, Beijing … it happens to Sharon Stone, too! Every time she opens her mouth, her career inches further and further down the toilet … karma happens to everyone!

Now, Beijing and your pity party counterparts, if you’re all done bitching about Sharon Stone, get your priorities in order and get back to taking care of your wounded and your homeless!

    Work first, bitch later!

I’m co-signing with Rob. If karma made that happen to China, I need to get the hell outta the US! As far as her comment, she shouldn’t have said it. I don’t care what context it was in. She MUST be trying to ruin what’s left of her career. She’d better ask Tom Cruise what talking crazy can do to you!

She actually feels the same way I do. I know people don’t like to hear it. I feel that way about 911 in the U.S. It’s not a thinking of “that’s what you get”. That would be wrong. But sometimes when people ask themselves WHY….there is always a bigger picture. I’m actually glad that she said what she said. So many spiritual/religious people all over the world, but it’s ironic that most of these people are the same ones who will say she was wrong for saying what she said.

I agree with Ms Stone…Karma is real in my world, and yes, the U.S. and many other countries and groups of people have some serious bad karma coming their way when they least expect it….look out…watch what you doing…
