The Jackson 5 Are Broke!

Well at least that is what The Post is reporting. They say Michael Jackson and his brothers are on the road back from riches to rags. They reveal what all the brothers are doing now to make money and this is really sad.

Marlon Jackson, 51, an original Jackson Five member who stocks shelves at a Vons supermarket in San Diego, had to temporarily move into an extended-stay hotel.

Randy, 46, does odd jobs, including fixing cars in a Los Angeles garage owned by a family friend. He recently claimed Michael was going to give him $1.7 million - “a pipe dream,” said another brother last week.

Jackie, 56, the oldest and most debonair of the brothers, is struggling to manage his son Siggy’s aspiring rap career after an Internet clothing business startup and attempts to produce music failed.

Jermaine, 54, shuttles back and forth from his girlfriend’s home in Ventura County, Calif., to his parents’ mansion in Encino, where Jackie and Randy still bunk.

Tito, 55, is the only brother still making music, but it’s a meager living. The guitarist fronts a blues and jazz band that plays small venues and nets him $500 and $1,500 per occasional gig - a far cry from the days when the Jacksons could pull in 50,000 people at $30 a ticket.

The article goes on to say that Janet is trying to support everybody at this point and we all know how Michael’s financial situation is going. Love Muffins, this really breaks my heart! I wish them all the best!

there’s no telling who’s to blame other than themselves. i mean, michael spent money like there was no end. literally. so, as sad as it is, is it really THAT surprising? you have a greedy ass dad all in the mix who at one point had 100% control over their money and then you have the obvious bad investments made by a lot of them. which one has the sons that were in T3 back in the late 90’s? janet seems to be the smartest one in the whole bunch and that’s what’s sad. out of 9 damn children, only 1 walked away with brains…….. that’s what’s sad.

I don’t believe any of it for one minute. They’ve always been saying Michael was going broke. If he was, that hair would be nappy. Perms cost money. As for the rest of the family, I don’t believe that either. The Jacksons have to be the most hated on family ever

First of all the whole story is bogus and FALSE! The story comes from Stacy Brown who is a Jackson family reject. If Marlon was working at a Grocery Store I’m sure somebody with their picture phone would have been put him out there. For Jackie to be struggling wouldn’t he be living at his parent’s home which he doesn’t.

For the longest they said Michael was broke but for him to be broke his stays at lavish hotels are not cheap so who’s paying for that. The man owns the ATV catalog which is worth more than a little bit every song you hear on the radio getting air play is making Mike mad dollars!

To believe Mike is that bad off then wouldn’t be have been filed for Bankruptcy and been under the jail for tax evasion if that was the case? Wake up people and stop believing the hype the source NY Post is a tabloid. Jermaine hasn’t been living at the parents home in God knows when since he separated and eventually divorced his ex wife Alejandra.

Randy fixing cars? Highly unlikely don’t know when he came back from overseas so umm right. I believe these articles when they come with full blown evidence. That is pictures a copy of the family tax returns etc. IF these people can’t provide the proof then the story needs to POOF!

Stacy Brown has been out of the family loop way before 2003 especially after teamed up with Michael’s former employee Bob Jones who wrote that pathetic book The Man Behind The Mask.

To blame Joe would be outright ignorant! Because of Joe the boys made superstardom left Motown and established their talents writing their own songs and opening the doors for many black musicians like the REAL TALENTED Entertainers before them. Think READ carefully then respond people don’t believe the hype!

Jermaine lives in Bahrain and England - so I don’t think commenting further on the NYPost is worth it. But as well - don’t most of the Jackson’s stay at the Encino home from time to time? The home is actually owned by Michael and not his parents.

What’s funny is I hear that Michael is broke all the time because of his spendng and what not. Elton John spends almost every dime he makes and no one ever speaks about him being on the brink. You think that Elton John tours 300+ out of the year because he loves performing and likes his fans? Maybe - but that fool has as many bills to pay as Michael and lives as lavishly. Fair and equal reporting NYPOST… Shame on you!

I am very appreciative that I grew up with the Jacksons music. I have every album, picture, belt, picture disc and whatever in my attic. I started collecting back in 1973 (hope the LPs aren’t melted!) Anyway, Joe and Katherine were taken advantage of to a certain degree. It’s not unlike what we see today. There are many talented people, but to be superstars you have to sign a part of you away and BECOME what will be more marketable. The only thing I think the Jacksons should have done that they didn’t do was buy realestate in the South (Atlanta, Memphis, New Orleans) and rent it out to section 8 receipients. The money comes in the mail every month! Aside from that, they should have opened a couple of restuarants when they were in their heyday-
