Hillary Clinton Wins Texas, Ohio & Rhode Island!
March 5, 2008

• Hillary Clinton wins crucial Texas, Ohio primaries, plus Rhode Island, CNN projects
• Barack Obama wins Vermont
• John McCain locks up GOP nod; Huckabee quits
• Texas Democratic caucus results yet to come

Bitches get stuff done!
It all comes down to this. Hillary lied and Obama got caught slippin. The media bent over backwards for Hillary and delivered a huge victory for her.
That said, Hillary will probably only net about 6 delegates tonight. She cannot win the pledged delgates battle.
All this is doing is prolonging the inevitable and dividing the party.
Clinton out politicked Obama tonight, albeit unfailry and with deception, but the night belongs to her.
Obama can’t keep bringing a knife to a gun fight. Hillary will use every single Rovian trick in the book. He needs to get his hands dirty.
Amazing how the highly educated overwhelmingly support Obama, while the uneducated masses support Hillary. Just an observation.
THAT’S RIGHT, HILL-HILL! Show them haters!
See, THIS is one of the many reasons Hillary should be our next President. This broad is TOUGH.
Face it: yeah yeah yeah, Obama is black, but Obama has also been the media darling since 2004. The Golden Boy. He has had it a lot easier in this campaign than many people want to admit. All he has to do, really, is not make any major mistakes and he’ll continue to be this election’s “popular candidate”.
Hillary, however, has faced major opposition from the very day she announced her candidacy. The media, Republicans, people not wanting another Clinton in the Oval Office, from day 1 Hillary Clinton has had to fight to be recognized as a serious candidate for the presidency. And that’s what’s been doing this entire campaign: FIGHTING. That is why I admire this woman. People saying “Oh, Hillary just needs to drop out. Obama won 11 states, blah blah blah!” Super delegates pulling out, media discounting her before the race is even over. that fact that she won BOTH Texas and Ohio is testament to how much she wants this, and how much she has worked her ass off for it. Don’t discount her until the race is OVER.
Whether or not you like Hillary, tonight proved that one thing can’t be denied: She has put her heart and soul into this.
“Amazing how the highly educated overwhelmingly support Obama, while the uneducated masses support Hillary. Just an observation.”
Oh really? because I’ve noticed the exact opposite. And funny how you haven’t seen any Hillary supports on tv swearing up and down that she’s right for the job and then not being able to name a single accomplishment of her’s when questioned…unlike her competitor. *cough cough*
“Amazing how the highly educated overwhelmingly support Obama, while the uneducated masses support Hillary. Just an observation.” I’m not so surprised. Traditionally lower income/working class whites (the group the media are claiming put Hillary over the top in those states today) are more racist than sexist.
And I think it’s a sad day when we see the Democrats showing a more diverse, competitive slate than this country has ever seen, but the (Republican-funded) media is already spinning them as being a “split” party.
I agree Nick. The media helped Clinton tremendously!!! They have been pretty hard on Obama for the past two weeks. To top it all off… U have sh!t like SNL.. an entire show catering to Hillary. AND don’t forget about Rush Limbaugh (sp?) urging all of his republican radio listeners in Texas to vote for HILLARY (if they could stomach it that is) so that Barack would lose. The Republican party knows that they will lose if they have to go up against Obama in the November election. Anyway congratulations Hillary you bitch, it all paid off. Too bad you’re not going to gain many pledged delegates!
SIDEBAR: I just found out that Mariah Carey supports Obama!!!
YES WE CAN!!!
OBAMA ‘08
“I’m not so surprised. Traditionally lower income/working class whites (the group the media are claiming put Hillary over the top in those states today) are more racist than sexist.”
I see so many holes in this argument I don’t know where to start…
But I will say this: If lower income/working class whites tend to be more racist than sexist then explain Iowa. Hell, explain the 11 states Obama won in a row, many of which are composed of “lower income/working class whites.” Go on, I’ll wait…
You go Brandon you are really on this topic but I feel you dude.
“The media helped Clinton tremendously!!! They have been pretty hard on Obama for the past two weeks.”
What!? Oh Boo Hoo! Obama gets some negative press for two measly weeks and we’re supposed to blame his poor performance on that!? I’m voting for a president, not a baby. Hillary has been getting negative flack from the media since DAY 1 (fuck a little SNL skit) and has still come out with her fists up.
And to whom ever to be talking bout who Mariah voting for I dont really care about who rich people voting for. Whoever get in office Mariah Carey will be straight regardless. She aint thinking bout her health care or none of that, she can be thousands of people doctor bills.
i meant she could pay thousands of people doctor bills lol
Oh so u agree with me about the press huh.. lol. And you can best believe no one’s cryin’ over it, especially not Obama!!! Why should he when he’s clearly outnumbering her in pledged delegates. I mean that’s what really counts right?
Hillary had a good night, but Obama is still the likely winner for the Democratic race due to the division of delegates and the Superdelegates at the Convention this Summer will most likely look at how their states voted and vote for Obama, since he has the most states won now and more states to come…GO OBAMA!
LOL @ Alyse
Glad you corrected that. It was pretty funny.
FUCK
texas you damn losers!
i’m moving.
Go Hillary! I knew you could do it!
I am laughing so hard at all these Hillary supporters!!
” SIDEBAR: I just found out that Mariah Carey supports Obama!!!
Is this person even serious right now? Our country’s economy is crumbling. We are among one of the most hated countries in the world, and the Republicans have a candidate chosen for the elections…yet the most important thing you can say is Mariah is voting for Barack Obama!!! What is this world turing into??
I am a true Hillary supporter and although I am heappy she proved many wrong by winning 3 major primaries…there is still work to be done.
I LUV LUV LUV MIMI but she is not going to determine who I support. She has got money and fame…who she votes for does not affect me in the least!
On the SNL note, as a New Yorker it was about time someone called the media on the very obvious love fest they are having with Obama. Then people question why Hillary has to be negative…because that is the only way she can get attention. She says something positive no one will care. But, God forbid she calls out Obama and the media are all over it.
I am inspired that this race continues but also worried that we are giving the Republicans a huge advantage by drawing this process out even longer.
My feelings on Hillary and Barack are very clear…I just hope that the eventual nominee will be able to hold their own against McCain.
Hillary ‘08
@ meanmina
You said:
yet the most important thing you can say is Mariah is voting for Barack Obama!!! What is this world turing into??
I didn’t think that mentioning Mariah was important at all. LOL! YOU are the one claiming it to be ‘the most important thing’ i said. It was just a shout-out from a fan. Actually, the most important thing I said was that Hillary won’t gain too many delegates.
Obama ‘08
NICK, you hit it on the head. and for those becoming frazzled over the educated/uneducated comment…it’s called exit polls. if you have even watched CNN once, you will notice that they break every state’s votes down to the Nth degree and he has always carried the voters that have graduated from college. DANG! do you people read or do any research yourself before coming to these boards? i’m sure NICK wasn’t making his own general statement about college grads, but i have read with my own two eyes that obama carries the “educated” vote EVERY TIME. geesh!
and MEANMINA, here you go…….SEVEN2 made the mariah comment as a sidebar…do you know what a sidebar is? FYI…it’s a subordinate issue or remark. so stop trying to find something to fuss about. that was not the most important thing they had to say, hence the big, capitalized word “sidebar”. i think it was just a interesting tidbit to throw into the den of lions, since these political posts can get so *heated* dang….why am i feeling NICK’S comment about the educated even more right now? hmmmmmmmm…
LOL…SEVEN2, we must have posted at the same time because i just pointed that out to MM as well. if you’re going to have someone’s back in political debates, at least be able to read, speak and reply with understanding, right?
Thank God people are finally starting to realize that Barack has no business running for pres. He has not had any real exprerience other than the two yrs in the US senate. His performance in the debates and on taking tough questions the other day, show that he can’t handle pressure. He only talks a good game when he is reading a prepared speech from a teleprompter. It is all a facade. Hillay is a soldier who has been fighting the good fight for over 15yrs. Her knowledge and grasp of the issues make Obama look like a child. She has deatailed plans, where as he “wants to bring people together”. We need this strong, intelligent, accomplished woman in the white house. This country is in a tailspin and Hillary and Bill can get it back on track.
@ Numero Uno
THANK YOU!!!
I’m feelin’ Nick’s comment as well. SMH
Can someone just name some of Hillary’s accomplishments….anything…is that crickets I hear. Or can we hear the reason she wasn’t productive in the state of NY is because she didn’t have a Democratic president. If anyone dares to read Obama’s page you will find he got policies passed and worked with Republicans on some of the policies. This divisive politics is not good for the United States period. And everyone who is here saying they support Hillary 1. cannot name what experience she has 2. would not support her Bill weren’t her husband because she lacks the experience and substance she accuses Obama of not having.
People it is not who has the last name or who knows alot of people in politics. What the United States needs is a progressive strategic thinker. The bullying of less formidable opponents has got to stop. The United States is still using the same old politics of separation and people it is 2008 and look at us now.
And Nick I observed the same thing: Ditto!!!
And B. Scott baby I love you page and I love you to death keep being the positive and great person you are…but if you are going to post politics please post both wins and losses of your candidate..that shows true support..double kisses muah muah bye!!
Brandon you are silly “yeah yeah Barack Obama is Black”, you are playing right in to Clinton playbook, We are all not supporting Mr. Obama because he is black, we are supporting him because he is FUCKING BRILLIANT! I know all you Hillary supporters are happy because she FINIALLY has one something but in actuality last night was pretty pathetic . She was up by 20-30% in these states 2 weeks ago and yet she barely squeeks by. Even after all the venom and lies spewed against him, Barack will have increased his delegate lead (see Texas caucuses).
It’s over, Hillary. The media couldn’t save you.
Numero Uno & Seven 2:
The cracks about my intelligence are what I would expect from Obama supporters….so I don’t feel the need to address them. I am a college educated African American woman who knows that Sidebar or no sidebar would I ever, ever mention that Mariah or any other entertainer is supporting my candidate for President of the United States. It doesn’t even fit with this conversation. There are so many other places where you could mention the FABULOUS MIMI and I would be right there singing her praises.
I am thoroughly disgusted with this notion of undeucated peple voting for Hillary…then does that mean only the elite vote for Barack. Because based on those same exit polls Barack did very well with people making over $100,000 a year. That to me says alot. $$$$ does not make you educated and just because we aren’t on the Obama train does not makes us uneducated.
It’s true Hillary really didn’t make a dent on the delegates…but you better believe she made a statement with these wins. After hearing about Hillary’s wins I am HOPEFUL, INSPIRED…I BELIEVE THERE CAN BE CHANGE!!
THAT SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR!!!HILARIOUS!!!!
As for the media saving Hillary you guys are a joke. This whole campaign OBAMA has been handled with kid gloves!!! All of a sudden he gets a couple of tough questions and he’s whining DEAL WITH THAT SHIT LIKE A REAL MAN AND JUST SUCK IT UP!!!
From here on out Obama will have to deal with the media ASKING TOUGHER QUESTIONS which will only WORSE even if he beats Hillary. You think her campaign is tough you don’t even want to roll with THE MCCAIN Campaign who has even more Senatorial and foreign policy experience. Step up your game Barack!!!!
RING RING RING….that presidential telephone is ringing you better prepare a speech
ok, time to wrack them up, I see…
NUMERO UNO:
“NICK, you hit it on the head. and for those becoming frazzled over the educated/uneducated comment…it’s called exit polls. if you have even watched CNN once, you will notice that they break every state’s votes down to the Nth degree and he has always carried the voters that have graduated from college. DANG! do you people read or do any research yourself before coming to these boards? i’m sure NICK wasn’t making his own general statement about college grads, but i have read with my own two eyes that obama carries the “educated” vote EVERY TIME. geesh!”
This makes not a shred of sense. One, you’re implying that college students inherently know more about politics than the rest of the public or that they even use this so-called “education”. As a college grad myself I can tell you with certainty that neither are automatically true. College students are just as gullible as any other group, and it’s been proven before that college students are most likely to vote for a person who are MOST unlike the status quo, for better or worse. Of course that would be Obama - the young black attractive guy. Fact is Obama is the “cool candidate”. Celebrities are endorsing him and making music videos about him that get played on MTV. You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think that type of publicity isn’t meant to rope in the gullible youth vote, and YES that includes your “educated people” who are eager to prove how much they “know”. Another fact is Obama has NOT had to answer the tough questions that have faced Hillary since Day 1 of her campaign. He got a taste of that these past 2 weeks and he failed utterly. Clinton has been fighting the fight while Obama has pretty much just to stand there and LOOK the part of the president that’s going to create Change out of thin air.
Also, I see NOBODY has answered my previous challenge. If you want to blame Hillary’s win in Texas and Ohio on the “racist and uneducated”, explain Iowa and the host of smaller, rural states that have overwhelmingly thrown their support behind Obama in the past. These very states that are largely composed of the demographic you claim to be “racist and uneducated” and for that reason supporting Hillary. Please. You use that argument NOW because it’s convenient, but the truth is THAT HAS NOT BEEN THE CASE FOR THE MAJORITY OF THIS CAMPAIGN. Also explain how Hillary has carried the majority of LARGE, urban states. Go on, I’m still waiting.
Another glaring hole in your arguments is the fact that Hillary has consistently had the support of the older population. A population that includes a wealth of college grads and “professionals” as well. In other words: smart people are voting for Hillary too, so shut up.
NOIR:
”
Can someone just name some of Hillary’s accomplishments….anything…is that crickets I hear. Or can we hear the reason she wasn’t productive in the state of NY is because she didn’t have a Democratic president. If anyone dares to read Obama’s page you will find he got policies passed and worked with Republicans on some of the policies.”
You’re missing the entire point. 1) you don’t see Hillary supporters not knowing a damn thing about her accomplishments when questioned on tv. You see that of OBAMA supporters, so your assumption that the same would be true of her is based on nothing. This is simple logic that can be applied before I even attempt your faulty political argument. The fact is Obama supporters need to check out the man’s page before the claim, as has been done on this board, that Clinton voters are uneducated. As a 21 year-old, college educated black man I alone have clearly proven you wrong.
As for not supporting her if she weren’t married to Bill…get with the times. Explain why New York re-elected her to a second Senate term with overwhelming numbers. Her association with Bill Clinton (one of our most successful contemporary presidents, so I really don’t see why this is a bad thing) may have gotten her in the door YEARS ago. But by now she has proven that it is her own tenacity and brilliance that has kept her that. If all a woman needed to do to be taken seriously in the political ring is be married to a former president, first ladies would be all over our political structure. But that’s certainly not true, and why? Because you need more than that, obviously. And clearly Hillary has it.
Oh, and I could sit here and list a WEALTH of things Hillary has accomplished, but this post is already long enough as it is.
Nick:
“Even after all the venom and lies spewed against him, Barack will have increased his delegate lead (see Texas caucuses).
It’s over, Hillary. The media couldn’t save you.”
And that’s a page right out of the Obama playbook.
You say Obama’s brilliant, but the fact that Obama supporters seem to be neglecting is that just as many dems aren’t falling for it. How is Obama the “uniter,” the man who is “bringing people together” when Hillary is pulling just as many numbers as he is? Makes no sense. This race isn’t over, last night proved that.
Oh, and I wouldn’t call Hillary’s lead in Ohio “barely squeaking by”, and actually she was BEHIND in Texas polls up to this point. So get your facts straight. And you’re crazy if you can somehow fix it in your head that the media has been PRO-Hillary. Ha! Anything but. The fact is, Obama may have carried all those small, rural states, but Hillary hits him where it hurts with the larger states. Again, this race is far from over and now Obama-stans are nervous because just about everyone who was calling for Clinton to drop out before yesterday are now admiting that, her winning Texas and Ohio gives her - once again - an actual chance at the nomination.
NICK:
What is the funiest thing of all on today’s board?? I think it is the fact that Nick who chose to highlight that Clinton carries the unducated vote has a posting that reads like this:
“I know all you Hillary supporters are happy because she FINIALLY has one something but in actuality last night was pretty pathetic .”
First, I believe the word is FINALLY but I know you are a little shaken up from last night so I will let that slide!
SECOND, I think the word you were trying to say write was WON and not ONE they sound the same but mean very different things. I know those three letter words can be REAL tricky!!!
YOU ARE NO LONGER SMART ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR OBAMA!!
GUESS WHAT?? I THINK WE MAY HAVE FOUND HILLARY’S BIGGEST UNEDUCATED SUPPORTER
AHHHH… NEW YORK SARCASM…GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!
Oh yeah, and the “Mariah is voting Obama!” comment, sidebar or not, is a CLEAR indication of the effect Star Power can have on someone’s campaign and how that can, in turn, affect the youth vote.
I agree with everything MeanMina just said.
meanmina- Thank you for pointing out my misspelling, Im sure you have never posted a comment on a board and hit submit without rereading, your statement. Thanks agaen.. oops.. I meant again..
MEANMINA, as usual, you missed the mark. neither of us started on the “intelligent” thing regarding you until you tried to call SEVEN2 on the mariah carey comment as being the most important thing they had to say, even tho it was clearly noted as a sidebar.
as i stated to you the last time b. scott posted political speak here, you come off as condescending to other commenters regarding the most silly of topics or trying to declare a comment war about something you misread. so what if THEY wanted to post about mimi. you say you would “never, ever” and that is doesn’t fit for this conversation…that’s your opinion ma’am. i personally do not feel that cursing fits in this forum, but you curse, and so did seven2…but that’s my opinion, so i just choose not to curse in my posts. but i’m not blasting folks here who choose to. do what you do for your posts, but if you’re gonna attack someone for their post, get ready for a rebuttal.
and if you want to really be technical, you stated:
“The cracks about my intelligence are what I would expect from Obama supporters”
yet previously you posted:
“” SIDEBAR: I just found out that Mariah Carey supports Obama!!! Is this person even serious right now? Our country’s economy is crumbling. We are among one of the most hated countries in the world, and the Republicans have a candidate chosen for the elections…yet the most important thing you can say is Mariah is voting for Barack Obama!!! What is this world turing into??”
…as if to say that the mentioning of mariah carey is unintelligent. so as a hillary supporter, you took the first jab at someone’s intelligence. nice try, but your argument there failed as well
BRANDON, don’t address my comments and expect a response unless you are referencing what i wrote. i will not respond to assumptions or as you put it, implications. i said according to EXIT POLLS! that is what exit polls reflect, not my opinion….the rest of your comment went unread….NEXT!
oh and BRANDON, you side-stepped the beginning of your own argument because my original comment said COLLEGE GRADUATES, not COLLEGE STUDENTS!!!! so the argument you made is against yourself…smh. you wracked nothing here.
Put this in your pipe and smoke it.. Hopefully you HRC kids will be able to wrap your brains around this one..
When the state takes a citizen’s property in eminent domain, they have to pay the owner the fair market value. But sometimes the state can radically reduce the fair market value by what they call pre-condemnation activity. Forbid any development in the area, allow blight to take over, force down the value of surrounding lots by letting everyone know the state is going to build a freeway right through the neighborhood. By the time they have to pay for the property, its value may be half what it was before the precondemnation activity.
That’s what the Clintons are doing to Obama. He once was the best candidate in polls, in bringing in new voters, young voters, in enthusiasm, “new” politics. But the Clintons are engaging in personal smut to try to make him look as sleazy as the Clintons are. That’s the Clinton’s real skill: spreading around the mud in which they live. The Muslim e-mails, the picture of Obama in a turban, the “slumlord” exaggerated claims, the “McCain and I are worthy and Obama is crap” lines, getting President Bush to join in the attacks. And the racism. Which probably best explains the Ohio vote.
By the time of the convention Obama’s polls will be down because of the Clinton slime machine. The Clintons have been telling all of us for awhile now that they plan to steal this election. When Hillary started making a big issue out of saying “No matter what, come November all Democrats must unite around the candidate,” some talking heads thought that a conciliatory speech. I saw it as setting the stage for the Clintons stealing the election. And Bill used a Republican line by saying that Democrats fall in love in the primary but fall in line during the election, when that is a line that historically was used to contrast Democrats (fall in love) with Republicans (fall in line).
So they don’t care if they “win” or if they bribe enough delegates and threaten enough party insiders to get their way. The Clintons plan to steal the nomination.
And Hillary’s 3 a.m. phone call: too bad they cut her lines. The only time she’s received a national emergency phone call at 3 a.m. her response was “Just a minute, he’s right here, I’ll get him for you.”
NUMERO UNO
Last time I checked, CNN didn’t didn’t break down their voter analysis by the “who’s educated” demographic. Also, you fail to explain how the senior vote doesn’t count the college educated and professional. A demographic that has overwhelming supported Hillary so far. The only thing you’ve managed to point out is that Obama got the young vote, and well…everyone already knew that. In other words: your post didn’t illuminate jack squat. Face it, you’re not responding to my post because you just can’t see my post…NEXT
An ugly fact hasn’t been adequately covered by the press: Ohio exit polls reveal that 20% said race was an important factor and 80% of those chose Hillary. That’s 16% of the vote—based on racism–which is more than Hillary’s margin of victory. Compared to earlier states, Ohio has fewer college degrees and more racism, so Hillary’s bashing and fear-mongering worked in that fertile field of ignorance and prejudice.
ha ha ha! meanmina, you are officially my new friend! you crack me up!
“What is this world turing into??”<<<TURNING

BRANDON, please stop…
where did you EVER see YOUTH in my posts…any of them? i can’t see your post? can you even see AT ALL!?!?! thanks for swagger jacking my “next” at the end….true clintonite…HA HA HA!! this is fun…let’s keep the party going!
NICK
I’m just going to say it: your last post was crap.
The first paragraph has nothing to do with what we’re talking about. And if you were going for allegory, you still failed.
It’s called an election, Nick, and you have COMPLETELY fallen for the Obama line. “Bringing people together”? “New Politics”? You’ve really been duped. Obama is just as much the politician as anyone else, the only thing I’ll credit this man with is knowing his shtick and sticking to it. He’s been set up since 2004 to be the “good guy”. The guy who was going to “change politics in Washington”. He’s the antitheses of the Bush campaign. the people But one thing’s for certain: since the day he officially announced his candidacy he hasn’t been able to keep the Clinton name out of his mouth. And that’s what leads me to the most frustrating aspect of this election: Even when the media DOES go hard on Obama they hold back so much. When this steam engine of this election really got going Obama was trashing the Clinton campaign with EVERY opportunity. Every interview, every speech was filled with how Clinton wasn’t right for the job when he was…and the media just let him skate on by because was the fresh, personable underdog. In the initial debates Hillary couldn’t get a word in edgewise because Edwards and Obama were too busy double teaming her. Yet let Hillary even utter Obama’s name and suddenly every medio outlet is crying about how SHE’S turning this into a negative campaign. Completely unfair. And heaven forbid that she use the words of a black man against another black man, for suddenly she’s a racist to boot! But nobody says anything about the fact that, coming up to North Carolina, Obama knowingly put his hands up and let his supporters go to town on Hillary with accusations of racism. Funny how nobody from the Obama camp is trying that now.
And yet we’re supposed to believe that Obama’s losses in Texas and Ohio are due to the “Clinton slime machine”? Good one. Suddenly, the man fails and we’re have to believe every reason other than people just might not think he’s right for the job? The media goes tough on Obama for once and it’s the Clinton’s doing?
Your Obama is no saint, Nick. His hands aren’t clean. He is not incapable of failure. Hell, Texas and Ohio highlighted one particularly notable failure of his: the cockiness of counting Hillary out. If you took a look at his campaign these days you’d swear he already had the nomination for as much as he was going after McCain. Yesterday definitely forced him to shift priorities and the weeks leading up to it definitely proved something else: that the media is going to start asking him the tough questions and viewing him in such rose-colored light. Lets see how he does now.
I could care less what “celebrities” are supporting which candidate. I’m from PA & I just wanna get in on all the action. Still leaning towards Clinton though!
Numero Uno:
My comment about the Mimi sidebar was not related to intelligence. it was more like ….and what is your point!!! I don’t talk about other people’s intelligence (unless jokingly..see above posting) because I think there are so many ways to interpret intelligence. For example some of the smartest people in the world have no common sense or otherwise everyday intelligence.
You don’t need to graduate from college to be conisdered “educated”. I have been blessed with a college degree but I don’t consider myself smarter than a farmer with a high school degree who has his own dairy. You better believe that he could probably school us on a few things relative to being a businessman.
This notion of education is a very dangerous argument that I usually don’t beneath myself to discuss but since you wanted to make assumptions I thought I should set you straight.
Just like you told Brandon do not address your comments unless you are referencing what I wrote. I implore you to not make assumptions about what I mean …merely ask and I will tell you striaght up!
I guess when I clicked on this link I thought it was about politics and finding a reference, (even if it is a sidebar) to Mariah seemed silly to put it mildly.
If there was a point for the Mariah comment then by all means I would love to see how she relates to the greater discussion. Then again after re-reading the original post where seven2 calls Hillary a B$#CH I guess I should not have responded at all. I will choose to only respond to comments that do not harbor hate or resentment.
I have had really vigorous, intelligent and challenging discussions with a number of Obama supporters on the lovebscott forums and wasting my time with the two of you is no longer conducive to my goal of debating about the next PRESIDENT of the US.
Therefore, Numero Uno, thanks for opening my eyes… my time is precious
WHOA! BRANDON, after this, i’m out…but you touched upon his cockiness of counting hillary out. hmmmmmmmm…well, if that is what you partially attribute his losses on, then please refer to your messiah clinton, who did the very same thing on feb 5…who thought it was going to be a wrap…hence, her campaign’s fledgling funds and pleas for cash, shifting of key staff and campaign leaders and her COMPLETE shift in tactics, with her advisor’s saying that her campign was willing/prepared to engage in incendiary steps to secure her more delegates…http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/14/us/politics/14delegates.html?hp
have fun people!
NumeroUNO…I would never ever be your friend…joke or no joke sarcasm or no sarcasm.
BTW there is a difference between mispelling and mistyping DUH!!! I believe I noted that in my posting to NICK…not you but NICK!!
But, since you want to come to his defense please explain to me
how someone can confuse the words ONE and WON!!!
On another note that post was all about my sarcastic side…please do not reference my name again unless you have something worthy to say about the elections. DOUBLE KISSES…mwah mwah

NUMERO UNO
Just admit you’re done. I’m not about to continue a petty back and forth with you over semantics. So you didn’t say YOUTH. My point still stands: your argument that more college educated people vote for Obama leaves out the senior vote which includes a wealth of college educated and also somehow implies that the vote of the college educated somehow means more. Your argument is completely misleading.
NICK:

Ok? and Obama took 89% of the black vote in Ohio. You’re a fool is you think racism isn’t a factor for BOTH sides, if it’s even an important factor at all.
MEANMINA….your time is precious, remember..BYE BYE!!! dang, you baited me back….HA HA!
I’m still cracking up at the ill response of my mentioning Mariah Carey!!! IT WAS SOOOO NOT IMPORTANT! OMG!! LOL! This is hilarious!!

Shake your head all you want. What you’re not doing is proving me wrong. And I’m not. Even most political commentators have admitted that Hillary Clinton has always had to do the fighting to be recognized, and that all Obama has to do is not make any major mistakes.
brandon, my other comment is pending…but regarding my exit poll reference, this is done while votes are being calculated. its not posted somewhere…so when the different categories are being tabulated, they take ONE demo. at a time, whether it’s college grads, age, race or what have you. you are lumping two in to one…i said college grads…PERIOD. not college grad that are old, college grand that wear red, college grads that eat chicken on thursday….just college grads. i am not arguing that hillary carries old people because she does…she carries older people PERIOD. i will not even argue the reference saying that perhaps she does this because she’s old(er).<<<:-) it is what it is. BUT WHEN THE COLLEGE GRAD POLL IS ADDRESSED, HE HAS SUCCEEDED HER…period. is it so hard to conceed an original point without trying to blast it to pieces by arguing off of the point? read with understanding…and good day all!
(my previous comment)
you touched upon his cockiness of counting hillary out, brandon. hmmmmmmmm…well, if that is what you partially attribute his losses on, then please refer to your messiah clinton, who did the very same thing on feb 5…who thought it was going to be a wrap…hence, her campaign’s fledgling funds and pleas for cash, shifting of key staff and campaign leaders and her COMPLETE shift in tactics, with her advisor’s saying that her campign was willing/prepared to engage in incendiary steps to secure her more delegates…

NUMERO UNO
1) His lead over her in college graduates was now nearly large enough to make the argument that the Obama supporter is “smarter” than the Hillary supporter. What was it? 10 0r 11 points? Please.
2) Your argument is still misleading. The vote of a college grad is by no means better or smarter. MeanMina said something like this earlier and she was EXACTLY on the mark. Though I’m a college grad myself, I work a desk job for a corporation. For the time being, I am nothing but a corporate ant in the big city right now. How am I to say that just because I went to college my vote is somehow better than the vote of a man who, even though he didn’t go to college, runs a farm or the family business and is well-versed and experienced with the economic issues that were very important in Texas and Ohio and in fact carried Hillary to victory? You see, it can be spun either way.
OMG Numero Uno is leaving….what will we do without you on this post? How will we live without your posts??
Brandon: At this point it doesn’t even make sense to argue their points as to why Hillary won. It’s hard to pull together those kind of excuses when you were so expecting it to be over. In cases like these you need to think on your feet and be prepared.
The race isn’t over there is still time your boy can still win. It just won’t be as easy as people have made it for him. The SNL skit is satire yet it somehow woke up the media. They haven’t been nicer to Hillary but they are getting a little tougher on Barack…as they should. I am excited at the thought of a real race between these two.
I am happy with our progres yesterday and look forward to the next debate!!!!
RING RING!!!!
^^^^that comment also includes me responding to venom others spew out for no reason
Numero Uno
You’re just as guilty of being venomous in this discussion as anyone else. In fact, you just applauded the most venomous post in this entire discussion…
yeah im not feeling how the media including this site
bends over backwords for hillary its like a subliminal plot against obama… it’s the same thing they do w/ beyonce… it’s very unfortunate.
OMG… did someone compare the media reaction to Hillary to how the media retreat BEYONCE!!!! That is way too funny. Please do explain further!!!!
This is HILARIOUS!!!!
In response to those who claim Hillary won becasue Republicans sabotaged Obama. below is my response:
No need to wonder - why don’t you check the exit polls? They show that clearly Obama won the vast majority of Republicans and Independents. Last month all the Obama folks were saying Obama should be nominee because he can win over the “Obamacans;” now the story line is the Republicans voted for Hillary because she’s the one they want to face. Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation of the facts, but let’s all deal with the same FACTS please. It just looks desperate to try to grasp at any explanation why Obama lost. Here’s a clue - once he gets FAIR coverage in the media rather than the fawning adoration his sky high positives are going to come down to earth and people will see him for what he is - a politician just like Hillary. He’ll spin the facts to favor his side just as Hillary will. He’ll say one thing to the voters of Ohio regarding NAFTA and what he will do to renegotiate when he is president, just like he argued against the war before he came to the Senate and has had identical voting record to Hillary. The Obama folks are feeling like their candidate is being treated unfairly because he has gotten 1 week of quasi-inquisitive treatment from the press (they are not being critical yet - they accept what he has to say at face value until the Canadian media gets to the truth of the matter). At the end of the day, Obama will be the John Edwards of 2004 for the 2008 campaign. Egged on to run by his supporters because of his talent and capacity to inspire with rhetoric, but he is too green, too inexperienced, half his time in the Senate spent trying to become President so much so he doesn’t hold a single hearing on Afghanistan. I hope that a failed campaign won’t hinder him from running in 2016 after Hillary’s tenure. The campaign has just begun and Hillary is a fighter. She is experienced. And she is the one I believe has the vision and capability to lead this country.
^^^^SEE! perfect example…MM is at it again…trying to punk other commenters. everyone is not politially astute so if they make comparisons that are beneath what YOU deem appropriate, that’s what they do for them. as you all like to remind me, this is LOVE B. SCOTT, not CNN, MSNBC, The Swamp or any other politically centered and driven site. this site is usually about celeb foolishness. so MM trying to discredit other people’s comments when they reference the centers of MANY posts here is so bully-ish. that is what i was referring to.
@ dijamo…point taken. but i must say that when comparing their similar voting record, one should also consider the circumstances under which the vote was cast. once we are already in the crapper (so to speak) the solutions may not be the greatest, but one must pick the lesser of two evils. so whereas their voting is similar, i do believe they both made decisions based upon the crap presented at that specific time. neither really speaks to their personal agenda
Nice job everyone, keep debating this issue. There are still people out there voting because of race and gender. This should not be the case. Also, just because someone has a degree doesn’t mean those without one are less
intelligent and/or uneducated.
Vote for the candidate who is the best fit for the job. No, experience isn’t always the best and/or only way to pick someone for job. However, it shows their track record and what they have accomplished. That’s why I’ve voted for HILLARY in my states’ primary and I will be voting for her in the Presidential election.
FYI: I’m an African-American male, mid-twenties working on my law degree from a private university in the South. So, if I’ve read some of the posts correctly, I should be voting for Obama because HILLARY supporters are idiots.
That’s not gonna happen…..
What is this I try to punk punk commenters mean? I was seriously asking how the comparison fits?
I know everyone is not POLITICALLY (that’s the correct spelling Numero Uno take note…) astute ….but I have a sense of humor and am willing to hear out the reason why how the media treats Hillary and Beyonce can be compared. Does everyone call Beyonce a bitch, too emotional, too cold, too rigid and shrill? I DOUBT THAT!!! It is the illest comparison but I invite the person who made the comment to prove me wrong.
ONCE again NUMERO UNO I implore you to not reference my name or initals if you are going to only make assumptions about my comments.
As for this being lovebscott, NO KIDDING!!! But this partular post is about the elections there are hundreds of other forums where you can easily reference MIMI and Ms. B. That is not to say you can’t bring them up but at least make a point when you do it or have some facts to back it up!
the dijamo posting is from my sister (hence my follow up posting as minamo)
We have had long conversations about this election. I asked her to come and leave a comment because there are actually some Obama supporters on here making a decent case for their candidate and then of course there are people like #1 and 7….so sad.
Well, officially I am back to posting as meanmina becasue this election has me riled up and I will continue to support my candidate until the very end!!!
Only the strong survive!!!!
MM, i already told you to go somewhere with the spell-check. or skim thru your misspellings if you have nothing better to address….
and i’m sure the beyonce reference was to infer that some people are so blinded by their adoration of whomever that they become bullies to those who oppose. i know i’ve seen plenty of beyonce postings where this young lady can pretty much put a wet dog on her head and wear a hefty cinch sack and if someone were to dare speak against it…OFF WITH THEHIR HEADS-lol! oh, and you JUST MISSPELLED “BECAUSE” check it!
and PARTICULAR…LOL!
Numero UNo are u even serious with the blinded adoration comment…you do not Barack Obama right. The guy that people are basically wetting themselves over! Yet, that can’t say a thing he has done while in Senate and I don’t just mean his adoring fans like yourself. I mean politicians on TV no less. That can’t say one thing he has done…don’t believe me let’s post the links and you check it out!!!

MM SAID:
OMG… did someone compare the media reaction to Hillary to how the media retreat BEYONCE!!!! That is way too funny. Please do explain further!!!!
This is HILARIOUS!!!!
———————————–
that is not a pat on the back…that is laughter and condescending toward that person’s comment. why is it hilarious? what i find hilarious is how you keep trying to check folks yet your comments are ALSO riddled with grammatical errors and such…btw, how does the media “RETREAT” beyonce<<<yeah, that was a shot! come off of the soap box and open your mind to all comments-since you address a number of them. and do not implore me to do or stop doing anything…i can speak to whoever i please because i do not use distractions to drive my points home. now if that is beneath you as well, then perhaps you shouldn’t respond. that was the earlier refence i made. i shall not respond to something off-topic if my comment is referenced
p.s. i am wondering what big-dog political sites you comment on? i mean ones where celebrity-speak truly WOULD be inappropriate. i’m sure you won’t reply, but if LBS is the place where you come to school people without running with large or specific circles of POLITIKERS (my word) who dig their heels in on this election, then hmmmmmm…..also, your sister commented and i replied. why does she have a different effect? and my reply was…..right, just as respectful. so, YOU should take note!
HA HA! yes, i know i misspelled “their”… hilarity indeed
I never mentioned typos or mispellings until people like NICK or seven2 tried to say mostly the uneducated were voting for Hillary. SO I AM way over that at this point.
I certainly wasn’t patting anyone on the back about the beyonce remark but I just found it funny and have yet to still see the comparison. Your explanation made no sense whatsoever because it never connected it to Hillary!
Just as you can speak to who you please…I can implore as well. All I ask is don’t make ASSumptions it’s not a good look for you. We both have postings riddled with typos probably because I am typing furiously trying to avoid getting busted at work…anyone feel me on that
I like the debate and the back and forth but I do not like the implications made about my or any other Hillary supporters overall intelligence.
My sister is respectful and probably hasn’t read the rude comments about Hillary or the fact that people have implied we have no education. Don’t expect a reaction from her though. The language on here can be a bit offensive to her. But, I LUV IT!! I am all about drama
meanmina- will you Calm down with the correcting of typos, give me a fucking brake and get over your self, this is a blog post for god sakes, no one is trying to win a Pulitzer here. Take it for what it is, overall you get the point of what people are saying when you se typos etc.. you are being so catty and childish..
What does having a typo on a blog post have to do with being educated or Not Educated? I was clearly quoting a fact. Stop projecting your insecurity.. And who gives a fuck about your sister. Give me a break..and go back to work..
umm Nick I think you meant break not BRAKE (hee hee)..just saying get it straight boo!!!
WOW your language in your post is so menacing, I find it sexy
My responses are usually sarcastic. As I pointed out to Numero Uno I only brought up the issue of typos (or in your case NICK just flat out the wrong usage of the words i.e.,ONE=WON BRAKE=BREAK) AFTER (THAT MEANS FOLLOWING) PEOPLE MAKING COMMENTS ABOUT HILLARY SUPPORTERS AND THEIR INTELLIGENCE OR LACK OF EDUCATION.
Don’t get all offended and take it personal. I have tons of typos and embrace them lovingly. You should as well…
PS I like the idea of you calling me catty and childish but it’s too long to use as a description mabye next time you can try using:
CATTISH- means part catty part childish also known as meanmina…I love it.
PURRRRR
Wow Nick…you are on fire..give me a brake..oops I meant BREAK ROTFL!!!
The comment about my sister was towards Numer Uno who had an exchange with her this afternoon. She or He (not really sure Numero uno I can’t tell from your psotings if you are male or female)wanted to know why my sister’s postings were so different than mine (i.e., more respectful and not condescending) and why she had not responded.
So in other words Nick no one was talking to you when I mentioned my sister. Do you need further clarification on that point???
Oh yeah and you did not have a typo…you used the words wrong…very different. But, that’s ok a little 4th grade brush up in English will work that all out!!!
MEOWWWWWW
who made an assumption? like i said, you were being a smart mouth when you referenced that beyonce comment. otherwise, what was with all of the laughing and hilarity and OMG?!
(crickets)
repeating: don’t throw grease if you don’t like it thrown back. now for all of the people who feel the need to explain their status in life as a real point…please!!! again, stats are stats, polls are polls, don’t take EVERY word so literally. no one said every single person supporting hillary is a dumb crackhead 6th grade dropout, (even tho some get mad as if it was said…insecure much?) so to list your resume on here is unnecessary & funny, for real. and regardless of what you have or have not accomplished in life, it doesn’t justify any more or any less barack obama or hillary clinton. or maybe it just makes you feel warm & fuzzy, so for those who post their personal stats, i have a fresh batch of cookies, yum!
cuz i’ma is a dokter and i votid foor hoo i want too….silly right…EXACTLY
MM, i acknowledged your sister before a) knowing she was your sister and b) just as respectfully as her post was worded. that was my point. wasn’t really looking for a reply, just noting the stark differences between her and yourself. but hey, no one’s the same. i just appreciate her language and approach more
