Fans Angry After Spice Girls Cancel Tour

February 5, 2008

Fans in Beijing, Sydney, Cape Town and Buenos Aires and furious after the Spice Girls cancelled the remaining tour dates last week, claiming “the kids have to go back to school, and family comes first.”

“I am absolutely disgusted in them,” says one fan, quoted in Heat Magazine. “It’s a crappy excuse, really it’s all just about money. They’ve made enough now so who cares about anywhere else, right?”

What do you think, love muffins? Was the Spice Girls excuse that the tour went on longer than expected and they have to go back to their families a valid one?

They should burn the CDs in the streets of Beijing, Sydney, Cape town and Buenos Aires in a fit of rage.

That’ll teach’em to cancel their tour.

    :)

As a parent, I can understand them wanting to be home for the kids’ 1st day and whatnot, but they knew that before they started touring. No kudos for them.

I heard on the news that the tour was canceled because of dissapointing sales but then I heard Victoria saying that they had been selling out all the shows. I dont buy for a second that the kids going back to school had anything to do with the tour being canceled. Arent they sharing a 100 million dollars for this album and tour?

Oh come on peeps.. they have families…give them a break…poor Mel B. has two kids by two different men, neither of which she’s married to… she has a lot on her plate… I’m sure the other girls have major drama as well. They need a break!

It’s very unprofessional, but what can you do? Who knows what the reason really is, but it doesn’t matter. It is what it is.

I agree with the fans! It’s not as if, the Spice Girls and there tour manager didn’t know when school was going to began again when scheduling the tour! That is complete BS!!! WTF! The girls originally agreed to it, went public, sold out venues, then cancel because they forgot the kids have to go to school!!! BS!!! BS!!!!

That’s a lame excuse. This tour was planned some time ago - they knew the dates and whether those dates coincided with their kids school schedules. Besides, ALL of these children are raised by nannies so it’s not as if these mothers aren’t being replaced on the regular.
