New Music: Brandy - Doesn’t Really Matter
January 30, 2008
Here is a new leaked song from Brandy called “Doesn’t Really Matter” that has a somewhat depressing theme. I hope this wasn’t true to life for our girl. This song is clearly about contemplating suicide! What do you think Love Muffins?

What is the purpose of this song? Why would anyone wanna relate to this? If it got her through a rough time - whatever floats her boat, I guess…

With all she’s been through, I guess that’s what she was feeling at the time. Hopefully it’s now purged from her system. Better to act it out through art than other means, you know?

Reminds me of MJB’s “My Life” album. She’s just expressing what she was going through at that time. She’s been through a lot personally and then being linked to that brother of hers is another story all together….

Everyone has their lowest moments and during the trial, she did. I’ve never thought about suicide but it can be a song about vulnerability that her fans can relate to.

I agree w/Justin. We all have our highs and low points in life. She’s human as well. She’s not immune to life’s heartaches. Apparently, she has worked through those issues and is here to sing about them today. My hats off to her. WAY TO GO BRANDY!!!! I like the song:-)

its called creative expression…its theraputic…for someone who sing and writes music…this is our outlet…Its better to sing about it and move forward….frankly the music industry needs to get back to creativity and expression…instead of makin pointless music…
GO brandy welcome back…Missed u …UnderRated….

I actually liked the song…I can relate but not on the suicide tip but in the “I’m having a bad day or week” kind of way…it does remind you of MJB’s “My Life” song… Peace!

hmm…how come all these leaked Brandy songs that i’m hearing lately sound like something from 1997? I like the song, but the production and beat took me back to my elementary school days when Never Say Never came out.

^^ because this song was recorded during the NSN days. Her daughter’s father produced it.

This song does not speak of suicide. Listen to it again. She’s just artisticly expressing her self. You know, people just don’t know real music any more. Brandy is the queen of RnB of the 90’s and the new millenium. This song is soothing is so many ways. The purpose of this song is to relate to those who have been through a similar situation. It is a bluesy-ballad, it’s supose to be alittle bit depressing, but it’s still beautiful. DAMN I LOVE MUSIC and I especially love BeatRocka!!!!! Can’t wait for her album to drop this year!!!! GO GET THAT GUYS

No matter how sombre it may sound this song is clearly an expression of self-doubt over experiences that have occurred. Hence the use of words like “that’s the way it seems”. It is beautiful, bold and courageous. You gotta love what she’s doing with her music nowadays the songs seem more realer than say a track on Never Say Never. This song is a painful one and pain is growth.
