Work Your Weekend!

January 18, 2008

1. Drink This! “Pineapple Mojito”
pine-mojo.JPG

You can never have enough pineapples…or mojitos. So why not combine them?

2-3 sprigs of mint, torn
1/2 tsp. sugar
Juice of one lime
Ice
2 oz. rum
2 oz. vodka
1 c. pineapple juice
Orange slices

With a spoon or another blunt utensil, muddle the mint with the sugar and lime juice. Add the ice, rum, vodka, and pineapple juice; shake until combined. Garnish with orange slices!

2. Watch This! Cassandra’s Dream

Although this film is going up against a couple of other flicks with bigger buzz (ie. Mad Money, Cloverfield and 27 Dresses), it wouldn’t be fair to not throw a few publicity bits to this one. Cassandra’s Dream is Woody Allen’s latest film starring Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor as two brothers whose family ties are tested when they are propositioned to commit a crime. If you’re a fan of familial strifed and Allen’s theatrical style, then you will most likely enjoy this film. Looking at Colin and Ewan on screen for two hours is also a plus!

3. Wear This! “Fendi Bracelets”

Spring must really be around the corner when the summertime hue palettes begin to surface. Show your inner colors with these bright beauties around your wrist. Fendi’s created these button studded armlets with an interchangeable buckle, so you can change things up if you like. Shake your tambourine with these babies!

4. Hear This! Flashback Video: Carl Thomas’ “Summer Rain”

There’s something about the warmer West coast weather right now that’s really got us feenin’ for summer and Carl Thomas. So we might as well combine both aspects and take it way back. Enjoy this one!

5. Do This! “Take A Class”

Yes, love muffins, we keep you up on your entertainment and celebrity news, but in terms of your mental wellbeing…well, we want that to be strong too! Ever wanted to work independently on your writing or language skills? What about web design or even real estate? Try the UCLA Extension program. They’ve got all the classes for anything you’ve wanted to improve. And that’s a nice way to start out 2008. Go HERE for more information.
