Mary J. Blige, Timbaland, Dr. Dre Named In Steroid Scandal!

January 14, 2008

The Daily News has recently named 50 Cent, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean, and Tyler Perry as possible recipients of steroids and human growth hormone. Now Timbaland and Dr. Dre I can believe (Those became cock-deisel out of nowhere). And let’s be honest, we all know 50 Cent is shooting up something. Mary J. Blige seems like a bit of stretch, but “roid rage” might explain those comments she made about Beyonce and Mariah Carey (Click HERE to see old post). Wyclef Jean and Tyler Perry (WTF?), Whatever they’re doesn’t seem like it’s working all that well. Word on the street is that the investigation is primarily targeting the doctors who prescribed the drugs and not the celebrity recipients. So don’t expect any of these guys to be hittin’ the slammer like Marion Jones any time soon.

Thoughts?

I think that is a shame that the names are being brought out like that! If they did it is not illegal and that is their personal business. The price of fame is too damn costly sometimes…I know if I hadn’t taken anything I would sue the hell out of that newspaper!

Marion Jones sure gave them a reason to go after all successful, talented, Black People.

I’m just curious, why all the people mentioned are Black. First off, Danny Bonaduce on his Reality show admitted to taking steroids, and they didn’t once investigate or try to prosecute him.

Now I know reality TV can be fake, but they didn’t attempt to investigate it, or at least I didn’t hear about it. So…

I think this is getting totally and really stupid. First off HGH/Steriods are often perscribed to women with cancer. These are HORMONES. and Horomones can help cure, heal, or restore the body to balance.

Now if you’re training for a triathalon performance enhancing drugs/hormones etc may not be the business and in a non-medical envoirnment are illegal. This is getting really dumb to me.

If these people didn’t do anything wrong, why are their names all over the news? Is this really a priority for this country right now? And anyone else find it weird that all of these clients are famous minority entertainers? I find it hard that there are NO caucasian folks on this list.

Steroids/hormones are commonly known to be used by athletes or body builders to increase strength and bulk. However there are many other reasons a person may take them. Some of these reasons are medically necessary, in the case of certain illnesses or they can be cosmetic, for folks who simply want to slow the aging process.

So, before we judge, keep in mind there could be perfectly reasonable and socially acceptable reasons these artists were prescibed HGH.

You can look at Dr. Dre and Timbaland and know they are using but it is their business. They can do what they choose to do with their bodies. I see now why celebrities use a fake name to get things.

This is clearly a witch hunt for black celebs.

I don’t understand where these accusations are derived from. It seems like only circumstantial evidence that these people are using false means of body growth. Just because these individuals appear to be more buff than previously noted, it does not neccessarily equate to the use of those products. I mean, Dr. Dre has essentially been out of the public eye for quite some time. So, it’s more than likely he is just using the most effective supplements and the best personal trainer to help him build muscle. Until I see factual reports or evidence (not just gossip), I refuse to believe this shit.
