Saleisha Covers ‘Seventeen’

January 8, 2008

Saleisha Seventeen Cover

As promised, Saleisha Showers (ANTM Cycle 9 winner) covers the latest issue of Seventeen Magazine. There are still some unanswered questions regarding her winning the competition since she knew Tyra prior to the show. Other than that, she’s a cute girl. Just not feeling the hair.

the circumtances surrounding her win is very suspect…i also hate her hair, she looks nice but im not feeling her fierceness

she’s cute HOWEVER that there BOB has GOTS TA GO! That is not attractive. She looked better with the curly weave she had when she first came to the show. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL HER AND HER STYLIST THAT THIS LOOK NEEDS TO GO ASAP!

and who gives a rats ass that she knew TYRA so what! she was FIERCE on the show. the chick in the top with her was COOL but BOB was better!

Honestly she’s cute, but I don’t think she’s “top model” material. I mean she can model, but she’s just “cutesy” she has not fierceness — if I saw her on the runway I’d say aww how pretty, but I don’t think she’d be memorable.

    *has no

I actually think her bob looks a LOT better here than it did on any of her pictures from the show.

I agree with everyone else though; she’s just commercial cute. She’s not fierce like Jaslene, Eva, Naima, Jade. I definitely pay attention when I see them.

I can’t believe she is still sporting that bad weave. I felt sure she would yank it out the moment the show was over and her she done went and got it done like that again. WTF?!?! Other than that I like her and I think she is fierce. Seventeen is for the teens so she’s not going to bring high fashion to that shoot, but we all know she has it in her.

I hate her not because she obviously was chosen to win but because she’s not high fashion and bitch aint got nuttin’ on Cha-Cha Diva.

she’s still got that wack wig??? this girl is so not high fashion. 100% commercial.

I just don’t see Top Model….Target, Kmart, Belk, IKEA….yes….Elle, Vogue, Cosmo…not at all.

    Bytch is not fierce….

She’s cute but commercial. I was all for Chantal winning especially after hearing Saleisha went to Tyra’s model camp.

I WAS IN THE STORE EARLIER TODAY AND THIS DEFINITELY CAUGHT MY EYE!!!..DIDN’T THINK IT WOULD, BUT CONGRATS TO HER!!

Well um…once it was acknowledged that she was a former T-zone girl (Tyra’s girl camp) They seemingly (judges) went hard on her. She reminds me of a young Lisa Bonet when fotographed…I’m sure she’ll be co-staring in some slip shot comedy sitcom or “who’s your caddy? part 2 type movie. She’s not a model. She’s an actriz and that’s okay.

oh well, she won so what can we do now? either one of them aren’t talking. just let it be

I don’t have anything against Saleisha, but I really do think that her Seventeen photos are quite amateurish. I expected more from a Top Model winner. =\
