Dr. Phil Cancels Britney Spears Show!
January 7, 2008

Dr. Phil just released a statement stating that he will not be doing a Britney Spears show as previously announced. Here’s what the opportunistic “clinical psychologist” had to say:
“As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show tomorrow, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case.
Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help. Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers and we ask that they be in yours.”
I honestly have lost so much respect for Dr. Phil who violated Britney’s patient rights by visiting her without her consent and for trying to pimp her out on his show! Dr.Phil please have a seat!

I think someone like Britney requires the strength of someone like Dr. Phil. Everyone can see that Britney needs help. But no one seems to know how to get her that help. She is already overexposed. Any efforts by a professional regardless of whether, they themselves are public figures should be welcomed.
Furthermore, Dr. Phil famously helped Oprah when she was at her lowest because of the beef incident and all the fallout, when he was a nobody. Apparantly he has some insight into these matters. I say let him do his thing.
Love you B.Sott

I totally agree… He would have been using his power to create ratings for his show. So much for her rights, the fact that he even talked to the media in the first place is disrespectful.

I keep telling ya that Dr. Phil is a quack! You better ask somebody and get somewhere and sit down!

I have mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, Britney needs all the help she can get so she can get on the road to recovery.
On the other hand, as a patient, Britney has the right to choose who she wants as her therapist, if she even wants one at all. Nobody should force Dr. Phil on her, just because he is famous.
Everybody’s on the Britney bandwagon.

Dr. Phil have a seat? You’re so kind B.
