+ December 1, 2007

… and decided to share!” #1 Crush” was originally the B-side to Garbage’s debut singles “Vow” and “Subhuman”. A year after its original release it was remixed and included on the highly successful multi-platinum soundtrack to the movie Romeo + Juliet. It became the band’s first #1 hit on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart, eclipsing debut album track “Milk” at the same time. Love muffins let me know if you have ever related to Garbage’s “#1 Crush” because I definitely was last night!

Barbara Walter Has No Friends!

+ December 1, 2007

Barbara Walters has interviewed everyone from celebrities to world leaders… but apparently, she can’t get a friend on her MySpace page. After she recently joined MySpace, co-producer of “The View,” Bill Geddie, sent a sad plea out to listeners on Walters’ weekly, Sirius radio show.

“If you’re out there on MySpace, become a friend with Barbara Walters because it’s so depressing to look at this. Really – just go on, say you love her or something, ‘I watch The View all the time’ – something like that,” Geddie said on the air.
The veteran broacast journalist’s unpopularity has given Walters a wake-up call, and she took the opportunity during her radio show to lament. “That’s for real that nobody wants to be my friend? What have I done? Why has no one wanted to get in touch with me?”

Damn, can’t the ladies on “The View” show some love and send a friend request?

Interesting fact: on Barbara’s myspace page, she claims to be 24 years old. (She’s actually 78.) Not-so-interesting fact: her profile song is the 1954 hit, “There’s No Business like Show Business.” Wow, maybe, we should lend her “Paw Paw” to spice things up. Step into 2007, already!

But, if you’re feeling for her and want to be her friend, here’s the link:

So, far Walters has 2 friends - Tom and Chris, the creators of myspace. You know, the ones that automatically become your friends when you join.

Oh, Babs…
