Best Of 2007: Best Television!

December 31, 2007

dexter_12_30_07.jpg

All though the Writers Strike left a bad taste in my mouth toward the end of the year, there was still quite a bit of good television in the year 2007. Some shows made a comeback after horrible slums (Desperate Housewives, anyone), others were guilty pleasures, and some shows had me on the edge of my seat all season. Here’s my list:

- Brothers and Sisters (ABC)
- Dexter (Showtime)
- Desperate Housewives (ABC)
- Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)
- Rome (HBO)
- Tudors (Showtime)

What had you glued to the TV this year?

Brothers and Sisters (What’s better than family drama? I mean really!)

Desperate Housewives (Gotta love those catty, crazy, manipulative women.)

Grey’s Anatomy (OK, we all knew Izzy and George would never work. The relationship popped up out of the blue in the first damn place.)

Bionic Woman (I didn’t think I’d like this show as much as I do, but it’s actually pretty good. And don’t worry, Isaiah got killed off pretty fast. :p)

The Closer (I’m in loooove love love with this show. Kyra and her southern drawl and magnifi!)

Medium (This show is as close to a scary movie/show I’ll watch. I am a scaredy cat, but I love the suspense!)

Journeyman (I started watching this show on NBC.com when new shows stopped airing and I love it now.)

Chuck (Same, NBC.com. I like the show more than I thought I would.)

Women’s Murder Club (I love James Patterson books and I actually love this show as well. Though, I didn’t like the weird quirky blonde at first.)

Nip/Tuck (I watch this show out of loyalty. They are running out of ideas for their storyline, I’m afraid. They still manage to surprise me from time to time, however.)

Dirt (This show is pure drama. I LOVE IT! TV drama makes my blood tingle, baby… and DIRT is all about the drama that is the world of Hollywood.)

Big Shots (A new show that I finally gave a chance. Nia Long is part of the cast and I love her. The acting and writing is pretty good too.)

Top Model (Another show that I’m watching due to loyalty. I need some girls to rock my world. These last few cycles have left me wanting something more… I feel like Saleisha may be another Nicole - Uh huh, I know you are all like “WHO?” I know, right?! -… we’ll see!)

I Love New York 2 (Who can’t get enough of New York/Tiffany and all of her dracraziness? ::waves hands:: Me me me me! Feels like it is taking forever for the reunion show to air.)

American Idol (I’ve been a fan since season 2… although I think it’s over-produced now, I still enjoy it. I’m looking forward to the new season! Simon said they’ve found the biggest star ever and you know how Simon never lies! ::rolls eyes::)

Yes, yes, I am a complete TV junkie. Those are my favs!

Oh, thank you Amonee. I TOTALLY forgot The Wire and Project Runway! I loves those shows! The Wire season starts soon and I’ve been somewhat enjoying Project Runway this season. It’s the beginning, gotta get down to the meat of the creme of the crop this season.

I didn’t miss an episode of Chuck or Heores or The Hills.
I found myself watching I Love New York 2 whenever it was on. I couldn’t help it though. I just couldn’t tear myself away from that glorious trainwreck!

None of these shows B. Scott mentioned have I heard except Desperate Housewives.
    here is my list:

Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is- So real, hood, negrodian and funny and I luv it. Especially Keyshia’s sister OMG is she a funny ghetto mess.

Ugly Betty- I’m a fashionista so I luv the show and Vanessa Williams.

Project Runway- luv fashion so i’m glued to it.

Run’s House- Opposite of Keyshia Cole’s show but its funny and good representation of a black family with class so I like it.

Prison Break- I luv drama and suspense and that Wentworth Miller is a cutie.

Desperate Housewives- luv it only cause my bytch Eva Longoria is on there. They need a fierce black woman on their like a Lisa Raye, Vivica Fox, or Nia Long or somebody to spruce it up it give it more of a UMPH edge to it.
