Best Of 2007: Best Song!

December 31, 2007

When it came to evaluate the best songs of 2007, I looked at all the songs that dominated the airways this year. These were the songs that served as the soundtrack to our lives and the tunes that we couldn’t run away from no matter how hard we tried. Of all the songs that topped the Billboard Top 100 Airways chart this year, only a select few were able to hold the title for longer than 3 weeks. Here they are (in the order in which they debuted on the chart this year)!

- Beyonce – Irreplaceable (8 weeks + 3 weeks in 2006)
- Akon – Don’t Matter (6 Weeks)
- T-Pain feat. Yung Joc – Buy U A Drink (Shawty Snappin’) (8 weeks)
- Rihanna feat. Jay-Z – Umbrella (4 weeks)
- Fergie – Big Girls Don’t Cry (7 weeks)
- Soulja Boy – Crank That (Soulja Boy) (3 weeks)
- Alicia Keys – No One (9 weeks and still counting)

So Love Muffins, Let me know which one you think was the best song of 2007!

2007 was Fegie’s year. All her singles have been top 5 hits!! #1’s:London Bridge, Glamorous, Big Girls Don’t Cry. #2-Fergilicious and Clumsy is currently at #5 on Billboard. Rhinana and Beyonce only had one #1 hits off their albums.

Beyonce was pulling out all stops this year. she didn’t sleep once, which is a good thing for us fans!Irreplaceable came out in November 06 and it still has lasting effects. Ms. Bee did her thang and she will be back in 08. Rihanna had the song of the summer.

Without a doubt, Irreplaceable by Beyonce. My daughter made a video singing it and all the younguns, as well as the grown and sexy, knew the words. Who can take on the Queen Bee? She can’t be touched. See my daugter perform it @www.myspace.com/dachellewash. Real cute!
