This is just SAD. Britney’s 16-year kid sister and star of Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 is pregnant! WOW. She gave an official interview with OK magazine confirming the rumors. Apparently the father is her live-in ,long-time boyfriend, Casey Aldridge who’s 19! The two met where everyone meets their teenage baby daddies… church.

Nickelodeon officially released this statement:

“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

WTF does that mean. I hope they don’t fire her. If Vanessa Hudgens can show her Va-jay-jay and keep her job. Shouldn’t an unwed teenage mother be able to keep her job? So Sad. I don’t think Lynn Spears will be getting a mother of the year award anytime soon but I wish them the best. Thoughts?

In California, statutory rape is called “unlawful sexual intercourse” and as of 1993, it became an act which protects young males as well as females. More specifically, the law reads that unlawful sexual intercourse “is an act of sexual intercourse with a person who is not the spouse of the perpetrator, if the person is a minor …” A minor is a person under the age of 18.

i heard that it isn’t considered statutory rape if the two have been dating a least one year before one person turns 18; but idk.

and it is illegal for nickelodeon to fire her for being pregnant. it’s part of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) which states that pregnancy is considered a disability and if you fire someone for becoming pregnant they can sue the hell out of you.

I think that Jamie Lynn Spears is to young to have a baby. It is the whole family’s fault for not watching her. They are so hung up on Britney that they are not keeping up with going with Jamie. Plus the mother does not have any parenting skills. How is her mother letting he stay with a 19 year old boy, when her daughter is only 16. She with the boyfriend should go to jail, with the quickness. Plus I think that since Jamie and her sister is probably paying all the bill for her mother, then she thinks that she is an adult and he mother has little say so in her life. She is going to loose her show and all of her indorcements, just for not using protection.

I hope that the family does the right thing and I will pray for all of them.

who are we to be judging her? anybody who has had a situation like this knows that it is very difficult on its own, but why does she need the weight of the entire world on her shoulders…this happens to so many people each year and just because she is Britney Spears’ sister doesnt mean that her personal hardships should be broadcast to the world.

i think at person in there teens should know not to have sex even if they are in still school. Shes going down the same path of Brittany!! Okay you all need to leave a 16 year old girl alone. So what she is on t.v. so therefore it seems a lot more extreme than it really is, and why are people looking up to a 16 year old? She doesn’t even know herself yet so get off her back. I just hope she doesn’t read this crap that a lot of you are putting on here, she has a lot on her plate and I definitely hope her show does not get cancelled b/c she will need to support her child, and what Britney does has nothing to do with her. I was SHOCKED when I found out about this!!! But for all of the people that called her a slut or trailer trash, they need to get a reality check. What happened to Jamie Lynn happens all of the time in local high schools and middle schools. Adolescents are gonna have sex…okay! It took a lot from Jamie to decide to keep this baby and for that she gets my commendation! Someone less strong and more selfish would have easily gotten an abortion. Oh, and one more thing… she is going to have this baby before she can drink.. so maybe things will work out for her. Plus, she knows exactly what her sister is wrong.. so as long as she doesn’t ask Britney for any parenting tips she will be just fine. My friend Kay had her baby girl when she was 13 and had no help from her family. We are 21 now and her little girl is 8 and doing great in school and Kay is finishing college. So since my friend Kay did good for herself, I hope Jamie does too.

Oh and if the baby’s daddy doesn’t want help raise the child, then more power to Jamie for doing it on her own… if he does choose to help, then I wish them both the best of luck. =)
