Video Premiere: Britney Spears - Piece Of Me

December 14, 2007

Check out the full version of Britney Spears’ “Piece of Me” video! Well, even though it’s not quite the “old” Britney - it’s cute, super duper fun and she looked great (including the weave)! Definitely a step in the right direction! Brit-Brit, B. Scott is still rooting for you love muffin and that spin at the end of the video was just splendiferous!

Click HERE to watch the International Version of “Piece of Me” which I like equally as much if not a little bit better than the original version!

I love it! I love it! I love it! This is Britney’s best CD, and she is letting us have it with this video. This is much better than the Gimme More video.

omg.. seriously.. why are people on this girls nuts?

ohh pop queen, if there is queen in it, we love it!!

    blah.

honestly the song sucks.. i like the words.. but everything sucks.

    i’m not a “britney hater”..

    i just like good music..

what i’m supposed to get this bitch a gold star for putting on some make up and puting on a show and dance to make me forget that her kids are still not in her custody?

sorry but lip gloss doesn’t make me forget she’s a mad mother and a bad role model

I like it. I think she looks really good, now maybe these people can get off her ass. The song was rightfully chosen and I love the album. Yes people, i is a sista and have the Britney spears album and it’s mad hot. I hope she drops Get Naked, Radar, or Hot as Ice next. I just love her and want her to shut everybody up, not that she needs to but I’m just mad that the same people who help to bring u up are the same ones that will bring you down on the drop of a dime. Our country is so screwed up and Britney is an example how of screwed up we are. They need to leave her alone already!

Okay, so my sincere impartial reaction to the video is this:

It’s decent. Whilst it’s not a bad music video, it’s not a good one either. What lets it down is, for me, Britney who lacks any enthusiasm, drive or focus leaving the other girls and the cinematography to hold it together.
Her dance moves are on the same level as the now infamous MTV appearance and, as it’s been revelaed today online and sites like Perez, she’s been heavily airbrushed.
Although no one can deny it’s a better video than ‘Gimme More’, it still doesn’t mean it’s of an acceptable standard for an artist of Britneys stature.

Really, we’re comparing it to the absolute mess that was ‘Gimme More’ and to be honest, anything would look good compared to that. But compare the focus, choreo, energy and drive of ‘Piece of Me’ against other Britney videos such as ‘Me Against The Music’, ‘Slave’, ‘Boys’ or even the older poppier tunes like ‘Sometimes’ and it puts the video into context.

As a whole, it should be appreciated as a step in the right direction. But honestly, that has nothing to do with Britney Spears and everything to do with the professionals around her that know how to make the best out of a bad situation.

I think the song and the vid are brilliant. The lyrics lose it’s bite because she causes most of her problems herself. I do think this is going to be a big hit. I love good music as well and far from a Britney fan. “Blackout” is a good album.

How did they glue her head onto the body of someone thinner?

    Weave…check
    Make Up…check
    Dance Moves…blank

Overall, bette than Gimme More, but it’s still pretty bad when compared with her other videos. Step up to the plate girl, we are rooting for you!

no matter what, I cant help but to love Britney. I hope that she gets it together. I didnt know about this song until I was at the gym one day and heard it on my iPod…I was jammin’ like WHOA and then looked down and saw Brit’s name on the screen. This song is the bomb. I wish she would’ve done more in terms of DANCING b/c that is the real reason I ever fell for her.

This is actually a good vido!I love it. And Brineys not crazy, she’s just sick of the tabloids. I don’t blame that girl. Now slowly but surely Britney will be back.

i think this is a much better video but dang can the girl dance please. i mean, that choreography at the end was cute and pretty good for what it was but i know she is capable of killin it like she used to. there are hints that the old brit is there just waitin to be molded back into top shape.
