A Shot of Reality

MTV’s “A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila” is a guilty pleasure. The dating show starring singer/myspace celebrity, Tila Tequila, has both men and women competiting for her love, kind of like a bisexual version of “The Bachelor.” Luckily, the show was well cast with some very interesting people, and as a result, it’s a lot of fun to watch the kicked-off contestants completely lose it and start fights with the other men and women. While it seems like the men and women have “fallen in love” with Tequila, the show’s reputation has always been questioned.

What’s up with Tila Tequila always looking put together with her hair, make-up and heels? She looks more like a puppet on a string than a real person trying to find love. Inside sources told us that Tequila wears an ear piece during the entire show and has people feed her lines to ensure a good show.

The New York Post also recently reported that a source close to Tequila revealed: “Tila has had a boyfriend for over a year, and she’s not really bi. She’s made out with some girls in her past, as all girls have, but she is not bi at all.” While Tila’s reps deny this claim, it still makes me wonder how “real” the show is.

   I still can’t believe they gave this “no body” chick a show. It’s sad that this is what is shown on MTV…some myspace hooker gets a show but godforbid they play more music. It’s a shame.
