LBS Forum Feature: “Amazing Singer”

November 2, 2007

In the LBS Forum Jabo posted this mind-blowing video of a young Korean girl with an amazing voice! Charice Pempengco appeared on ‘Star King’ (a South Korean TV program) and brings down the house with her performance of “And I’m telling you I’m not going”.

Here’s what Jabo wrote:

I could not believe this when I saw it. A young Korean girl in South Korea singing the infamous Dream Girl song (”And I am telling you”). She sounds better than Jennifer Hudson! She kills it!!

Love muffin I couldn’t agree more, I’m in awe of her stellar vocals!

I agree. I think J-Hud could actually learn a thing or two from her stage presence…

    she’s NOT KOREAN.

She’s Filipino (from the country of Philippines)

if you look up her name on youtube (charice Pempengco) you’ll find the rest of the segment from the show, when she speaks in English and says that she’s from the Philippines and it’s her first time in Korea

Well i hope you know that Jennifer Hudson was not the original artist of that song. It was Jennifer Holliday in the 80’s. If other cultures repected each other the way they copy each others styles the world would be a better place for us all.
