Lord, Say It Aint So!

Rapper, Nas has just announced the very controversial title of his next album: He said it will be called N*gga, yes you read it right “N*gga” and the album is going released in December. A source close to the project confirmed the name on Monday. I don’t know how you all feel about this, but I really don’t like this title at all! Thoughts?

I don’t like it either. goldenPeach is right though, we should give him the benefit of the doubt but he better have a good explanation for this.

@GP, I think you are right. Maybe the album will not use the word and he will get some pub for the title to push sales…

Why cant we all just see that this is another stunt to sell records!! Come on people first 50 and Kanye Now Nas calling this shit “nigga” lets be for real the fact that he is gonna call it that just to sell records makes me not want to get it and i am a fan of Nas b/c he speaks real talk but this is not a good move by him.

I think it’s a slap in the face to black people everywhere [although most, unfortunately, are to ignorant to see it or are just ignoring it]

Nigga will never ever be a positive word. And this is the main reason I don’t support rap [as a african-american female]. Because it glorifies things that I am against.

So looks like another rap album I will not be buying. GP, just saw your comment as I’m finishing typing this. You have a valid point as well. But I’m not sure how he’s going to flip this. I just know personally, he’d have to do a ton of flipping to get me to see where he’s going.
