Jive Records announced today that the label is moving up the worldwide release date of Britney Spears’ latest release Blackout to October 30th! Recently, songs from Britney’s Spears’ forthcoming album, along with unfinished material and demos represented as completed, legitimate songs, were leaked on-line. A label spokesperson stated:

“due to these numerous unauthorized on-line leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to
October 30th.”

I’m predicting a #1 record for Britney Spears, will you be buying it?

I bet they will have songs on the cd that aren’t even listed above. Record labels always try to surprise you.

9 times out of 10 they change the song titles and use the same songs.

No I like my singers to be able to sing, not becompe a producers project & a label’s product. And they are doing this b/c she is constantly in the press and there is no need to do real promotion. The album will come in at #1 with huge numbers, but in a few weeks it’ll be gone!

I know thats right! A #1 album one week does not always equate platinum sales- look at Common. Its about consistent sales for platinum status.
