While he did warn her several times (1st video), he is trained how to handle a situation better than that, especially since he is twice her size. It just appeared that she was very upset for being arrested. Shouldn’t they have had a female cop to handle that situation?

I personally think she totally deserved it! She tried to bite him and then the police officer punched her out of reflex and maced her ass! There’s no racial issue here! If you cry wolf too many times… people won’t care when it’s something truly racial! B. Scott what’s your opinion on this?

Since when do you put someones hands behind their back all the way up to their shoulder blades? Even if she was resisting 1)she was small so it wouldnt have been nothing for him to cuff her properly(behind her back towards her waste or back side). 2) Since when do we arrest people with bags in their hands? Before they arrest you they make sure you have nothing in your hands i thought? I think if that also was done according to the way police do things that would have not been in her hand to start with it. I didn’t see her try to bite him. He didnt need to mace her, all he had to do was put her hands behind her back properly cuz he was strong enough to do that and put her ass in the car! All of that? Not needed.

Very disturbing. I have a daughter. So, my perspective may be different from others. I never support misbehavior—even from my own child. This right here? I honestly don’t see where she tried to bite him. That young lady was scared. Her normal response was not to cooperate—I hear her saying, “I didn’t do anything.” As adults, we know what the outcome could be. I just gather she did not understand that she was being subjected to “authority”. On the other hand? I, personally, would have had to get at his bully ass with some real aggressive attorneys. Made sure all kinds of complaints were in place in case this is normal behavior for him. I respect most noble officers. Can’t stand dirty ones. I wonder what other activities this cop has been involved with.

Second video…that WOMAN did not need to be kicked while she was crawling. I really want to know what happened prior to her arrest. Tasering a woman that is really no threat to a man? She looked like she couldn’t see—or was disoriented. Some officers really do abuse their positions. Get them alone without the weapons or backup? Punk ass wimps running away 500 mph to save their ass. No diss to my family members that are officers—but JMO.

NO ONE DESERVES THAT SORT OF TREATMENT, BUT THE CHILD DIDNT LISTEN EVEN ONCE TO THE COP. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NO REASON AT ALL THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO BOTH MACE AND PUNCH HER. People need to STOP crying racism at everything, it’s really getting ridiculous with the black communitty these days.
This time it’s on tape, so people can’t argue it. I don’t care how old that girl was, she was CLEARLY resisting arrest. The man wasn’t being excessive, and he wasn’t being racist. Hell, several times in the video he tried to calmly tell her that he didn’t want to hurt her but that she needed to cooperate, and she DIDN’T. Pick up your law books, police are AUTHORIZED and WILL use force if you don’t cooperate. That girl may be 15, hell, she may have been 10. But the law had it coming. People who hate the cops 9 times out of 10 don’t know the law. According to the law, the safety of the police officer is PARAMOUNT. No matter how young or small the girl was, if she was posing a physical threat to the officer (in this case, resisting arrest and biting) the cop IS LEGALLY authorized to do what it takes to ensure his/her safety. That’s why it’s very important to remember this phrase when dealing with a cop:
“If you come at a cop with your fist, the cop can come at you with his baton. You come at a cop with a knife, a cop can come at you with his gun”
I’m sorry, but youth doesn’t exclude you from the law. The girl had it coming, and maybe if her PARENTS had disciplined her at home she wouldn’t have been in that mess, because I don’t believe for a second that she “didn’t do anything.” I can’t count how many times my sister yelled that very phrase when my mother whooped her ass when she CAUGHT her red-handed doing bad shit.
Too many people confuse the law for racism these days.

i’m with brandon and bambam….if she REALLY didn’t do anything, then you cooperate and prove yourself later. shoot, you might be able to sue for false arrest depending on the “reason” she was arrested. but you NEVER fight…i don’t care how guilty/innocent/crazy/bad *ss/scared/young/fat/wrinkled/famous/drunk/daring you are. that is asking for whtever comes your way involving force. i do not feel it was excessive. he DID calmly warn her AND tell her she was going to get hurt if she kept on. so yes, he used force. she started using force by not dropping her bag and putting her hands behind her back like she should have.
i have a daughter as well. and NUMERO UNO, she better know not to have her tail in the streets cutting up to have a cop even THINK she’s breaking the law….but if she does, she BEST act right when she’s caught cuz if she makes it worse, then i’ma knock her out again later.

I have to agree with Brandon. They say the reason the officer was arresting her was because she was violating the town curfew for teens. He was much calmer than I expected. He spoke in a calm tone during the arrest. It looked to me that he struck her to stop her from biting him and if she didn’t do anything as she said, then why did she bite the officer. The only reason he was pulling her arms behind her like that is because she was resisting. It also appeared to me that the officer brought her to the front of his patrol car so that his dashcam could record everything in this arrest. If he really wanted to be dirty about it, he would have made sure that the camera didn’t video most or all of the arrest.
Brandon is right because legally the officer is supposed to protect himself from any harm at all times. Yeah, the girl is 15 and smaller than him but she was also resisting arrest. Resisting arrest applies to all ages.
In the 2nd video, he tasered that woman way to many times even though she kept acting like a nutcase. He should have not kept tasering her even when she was in the car even though she was trying to kick her way out. I thought most police carried those zip ties so that they could bind your feet in a way to keep you from kicking out and hitting an officer or destroying a car. He should have used those instead using the taser so many times like it wasn’t anything. That woman could have had a heart attack and died with all of that voltage running through her body.

HELL YEAH. It’s the law, plain and simple.
And really, put yourself in the shoes of the cop. It’s late at night, you at the end of your shift, and you’re just trying to do your job and arrest some bad-ass girl who’s breaking curfew…and then she turn around and bite your ass? Oh no. I don’t think I would have been as nice as that cop was:
“Little BITCH! :clock!: Now put your hands behind your back, ain’t playin’ with your ass nomore…”
Too many people are being raised with this idea that you don’t have to respect cops, and that’s where most people go wrong. You don’t have to LIKE cops, but you DO have to RESPECT cops. Because cops CAN and WILL use force on that ass if they feel they need to to ensure their own safety.
Now granted, there are cops out there that do overstep their authority and do some shady-as shit. But in this situation, the girl was clearly resisting arrest and posing a physical threat to the cop. She had it coming, 15 or not.

The first video (the 15 year old) actually happened in Houston, Texas where I live. The story behind that arrest is that she had a warrant out for her arrest and was/is addicted to various drugs. She was resisting arrest while the officer was trying to cuff her. They showed pictures on the news of where she bit him and even through his leather glove he was wearing she broke the skin.
What you all might not undestand or think about is that this girl may have been using infected needles or other drug paraphanalia and several diseases are transmitte through bodily fluids…even saliva. For all that cop knew she has HIV or AIDS and could have infected him through biting him.
My father is a police officer and suspects even when cuffed can be extremely dangerous. Cuffing a suspect limits the danger they pose to any civilians of an officer of the law. And until she was cuffed and searched she could have been hiding a knife, a gun, or any other kind of weapon that cuold have endangered the life of that police officer.
I’m not saying what he did was right or wrong but when police officers go on patrol they have to assume that every person they try to arrest is going to try and kill them to stay out of jail and the sad reality of that is that it is probably true.

Is it me or was the girl in the first video clearly resisting arrest? When is it okay to resist arrest. I don’t understand why people would want to turn the cop into a villan when the girl was not complying with his request. One of the reasons this country is in such a bad state is because people don’t want to accept or assign responsibility where is is deserved. They find everyone to blame other than those who are at fought. Should the officer had let her go? Should he have continued to wrestle with her for hours? Should he have tried to reason with her? Should he have allowed her to continue to bite him? What would have been acceptable? I am so tired of this blame pointing in the name of racism. THE GIRL GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED. SHE SHOULD HAVE COMPLIED WITH HIS REQUESTS AND BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T, HER ASS WAS MACED. Bottomline.

Okay so maybe the girl did resist arrest, maybe she bit him, but wouldn’t you be upset if it was a child of yours? i mean yea she wouldn let him cuff her but to asssult her and proceed to mace her, then to completely ignore her when she said she couldn’t breathe i mean, he could have at least took the time to see if she was havin trouble breathing. For all the cop knew she could’ve had asthma or sumthin. Either way it may not have been a racial thing but had it had been a little white girl and a black cop you do the math….
