Rumor Mill: Britney Spears To Open The VMA’s

The websites are all abuzz about the possibility of Britney Spears opening this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sept. 9. Everyone is saying that E! Online has confirmed that Britney Spears will in fact perform in this year VMA but I’ve been to eonline.com and see nothing that supports this allegation. The websites also say that MTV is not going to confirm or deny it due to “surprise” reasons, but that everyone on the music business know that the pop princess is about to rock the stage as the grand opening of the awards.

Right now, being that I can’t find the website and there is no confirmation of the rumor, I don’t think its true. However I do think it would be good for both the VMAs (which have sucked hard lately) and Britney (who has also sucked tremendously recently). If Britney is anything, she a performer. I just hope Britney’s personal troubles don’t get in the way of her overall success.
