The Disaster That Was Bette Midler

Can we discuss Bette Midler’s horrific performance on American Idol last night? Someone must have clipped this chick’s wings because that had to be one of the worst performances of that song she’s ever done! I know Simon Cowell wanted to personally escort her off the stage. I’ve never heard “Wind Beneath My Wings” sound so atrocious. I don’t know whether she just had a bad night or if age has stripped her of her talent. WTF happened to “The Divine Miss M”?

If this is what we have to look forward when she takes over from Celine Dion in Las Vegas….Count Me Out! I cried when I saw this performance last night, but not in a good way.

Anyone remember Beaches?

    I see what you mean, it is horrible. Lip synching perhaps in the movie beaches!
