MTV Movie Awards!

MTV today announced that the brilliantly funny Sarah Silverman will take the hosting reins for the “2007 MTV Movie Awards.” The awards will be broadcast live from the Gibson Theater in Universal City, California on Sunday, June 3, 2007. In response to the news of the new hosting gig, Silverman said:

“The other day I sat down too hard and sprained my labia majora. I’m okay, but I took it as a sign from God to host the MTV Movie Awards”.

“Sarah’s irreverent, no holds barred sarcasm and humor have made her one of the hottest up and coming comedians in the industry,” said Christina Norman, President, MTV. “Sarah is just the person to orchestrate the madness and keep everyone guessing about who’ll be her next target.”

New DVD Releases

Alpha Dog was Justin Timberlake’s introduction to us as a thespian prior to his lovestoned/love fest session in Black Snake Moan with Christina Ricci. The DVD is to be released May 1st, 2007. I saw it and wished I waited for the DVD Release. Perhaps, you may want to wait until it comes on TV!

Jennifer Hudson’s beacon to stardom hits the streets on May 1st, 2007. You can also view Anika Noni Rose as she delivers a stellar supporting performance in the mega-movie. And Beyonce didn’t do too bad a job either!

Flashback Video: Don’t Walk Away

Flashback videos are so fun, we decided to hit you with some more. Jade literally came out the box stomping the yard like they were at a probate, and they hit the music scene hard in 1993 with “Don’t Walk Away”. This song was so hot! If this video quality was just a bit better, you could really see what’s going on like the micro braids and belly bearing sweatshirts with cut off jean shorts. Unfortunately, all of that is a little hard to make out, so here’s a Jade double feature. Their second biggest single was “Everyday of the Week”, which was featured on Beverly Hills 90210. Enjoy!

This Makes Me Do A Triple Take

Australia’s Fashion Week is upon us, and Dita Von Teese showed her classy self at the Camilla & Marc Spring/Summer show. Before you could blink an eye, there were two look-alikes posing for photos as well. Twin sisters Lisa Marie and Jessica Louise Origliasso, otherwise known as The Veronicas, were her complete dopplegangers! The black and red combination works beautifully with Dita’s porcelain complexion and sophisticated demeanor, but it’s a bit overwhelming on the singing duo. These girls need to take lessons from a pro before they attempt to step their game up!
